XBOX 360 Media Briefing @ E3 2011
PREDICTIONS

PakGamers is all set to brace for impact when a swarm of news, surprises, disappointments hit over the second week of June when E3 returns. We, the Xbox 360 fans are always in luck due to the fact the Xbox 360 Media Briefing is always the first to enter the building. What surprises/games/news/hardware has Microsoft in store for us? Lets predict now shall we?

i. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
It's a no brainer that MW3 will make its presence felt in the Xbox Hall just like its predecessors have been doing. We will probably be seeing a demonstration of a level where begins normally, only to end with a loud bang cliffhanger.

ii. Gears of War 3/Gears of War Kinect
Just a couple of weeks ago, millions of gamers around the world participated in Gears of War 3 Multiplayer Beta. Expect Cliff Blezsinski to demonstrate a level from the Campaign...followed by a teaser/trailer of the much rumored Kinect based Gears of War.

iii. Halo: 10th Anniversary
We can't expect Microsoft to be mum about Halo at E3 on its 10th Anniversary, can we? To be released on November 15, 2011, developed by Saber Interactive, a Halo remake could be shown for the first time, followed by a teaser for Halo 4 developed by 343 Industries...just like Halo: Reach reveal after ODST demo back in 2009.

iv. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Bethesda would probably debut a gameplay demo of its fantasy epic at Microsoft's briefing. Expect a timed exclusive DLC for Skyrim.

v. Alan Wake: Night Springs
Alan Wake didn't sell well enough to warrant a sequel but a XBLA downloadable piece is not a pricey prospect for Remedy.

vi. Shadow Complex 2
The sequel to 2009's superb 2D shooter by Chair Entertainment will be demonstrated, but with a working mic this time for the presenter.

vii. Metal Gear Solid: Third Rising
Hideo Kojima could rise for the third time at a Xbox 360 briefing to finally announce a release date for the mystery title. Lets hope they cut something other than watermelons this time.

viii. Tomb Raider
The newest reboot of the classic series will make its world premiere, along with the announcement of exclusive DLC, just like Tomb Raider: Underworld.

ix. Forza Motorsport 4
The fourth installment in Xbox 360's marquee driving franchise is all set to make a huge splash at E3, complete with head tracking with the support of Kinect. Visually, boasting more bells & whistles than Gran Turismo 5 and more than 400 cars, all of which will be premium.

x. Kinect, The Sophomore Year
E3 would be the ideal place for Microsoft to attract the hardcore audience to its motion sensor. First look demos of Codename Kingdoms, Dance Central 2, Kinect Sports 2, Project Draco, & Codename D, & Kinect Star Wars with a couple of added surprises to the mix, are expected.

Xbox 360 had a resounding victory at 2009's briefing but last year's press conference was directed mostly at the newer casual audience. Here is hoping that Microsoft maintains the balance with the odds tipping in the favor of the core gamer.

Feel free to make your own predictions.

Only looking forward to Codename Kingdoms. Didn't know there was a possibility of Kinect support in there.

That's a long shot.Hoping to see some XIII-2 footage though, and Of course the AC:Revelations trailer.
Every year Microsoft has a trump card up it's sleeves.

Take for example:

2008: Final Fantasy XIII announced for 360.
2009: MGS: Rising announced for 360.
2010: Xbox 360 Slim announced.

Wonder what it'll be this year. :D

Even the announcement of a Halo 1 remake would suffice as a trump card this E3 for MS

His protege, the other Japanese dude who high fived Kojima before "Zan Datsu" demo could be there.

Recent rumors suggest that its going to be a melee combat game using Kinect.

Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3 demo!
They are probably going to appear in the EA press conference later that day.

a whooooooooooooooooole lot of kinect.
I do hope there's not TOO much of it to ruin the entire briefing like it did last time :(
Exactly. I hope only 30% of the stuff is Kinect related, but it will probably be 50% of the press briefing.

Dont think they'l use it as one though.

I mean come on! It's almost inevitable. The rumors have been swirling for quite some time now. :p

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
