The girl has to accept the husband's wish because that's how it is as she is his wife and he can control what he wants.

Basicaly he should have asked her before marriage to dress properly and veil, or atleast he should have warned her that she has to do these things once she's married with him.

Its like the Girl belongs to a family whose women dont veil and the guy's family do veil, and his mind is already up for this, then these types of situation comes as OP discussed.

A guy cant force his GF/fiancee to veil but he can make this thing clear that she has to veil after marriage no matter what.

I would never want a GF or Wife who would dress up like that. I do not demand a burkhaa or scarf. But proper clothing and a simple dupatta on head is all i want. My requirements had been the same for my GF and now my wife. In fact even when i go outside it is never the clothing of women that attracts me. I don't even like girls with small or exposed clothing. It is always the modesty that sort of impresses me the most.

Being born in KSA and having a very religious background, she needs to dress properly and decently. A wife is a man's respect. No decent man with morals would stand for her wife to not cover herself properly and be gazed upon other men.

She only needs to show her beauty to her husband, not the world. Revealing/short clothes attract the wrong kind of attention as well as the women are seen more as sex objects rather than a human being.

However, I tend to go with the Saudi style...

Typical male chauvinist thinking. Your thinking is based on the false dilemma of whether the man would be hard or soft. You are missing the point.

You see, the whole point of companionship is to choose a partner that agrees with you on the bigger issues of life, or at least is agreeable to you. I believe dressing and hijaab are big issues, in that, if both parties don't agree on it, conflict ensues. Such issues should be the criterion for the selection of a mate, be it a girlfriend or wife. I mean, if you disagree on these things, then it is one dominating the other. It becomes pointless.

I think decency in dress matters a lot. When I say decency, it mean a dress matching our social, cultural, family and religious values.

If my wife / GF wears a dress to please me or to look a better and sensible personality, its really good. However, if her dressing is annoying me and pleasing others, this would be unbearable. If one permits his wife to wear revealing or western style outfits, he will surrender his right to stop his sisters and then daughters to avoid such dressing. So a balanced approach (mianaravvi) seems to be a better option.
