World Call new Wireless Broadband Service EVDO

WorldCall has started EVDO service from Karachi. The solution uses a USB modem (or a wireless router - if thats what you prefer) and enables wireless broadband services for laptops. This is being offered at very competitive rates by WordCall. Thanks to Faraz at WorldCall for sharing the information at Telecom Grid.

There’s no cap on downloads. Below is the tariff - for shared connections:
256 Kbps 1200/-
512 Kbps 1800/-
1 Mbps 2500/-

Device is ADU-510A, cost Rs. 4500.

Service is currently available in Karachi with plans of expanding it to Lahore soon.

^Nothing beats wired connections . The prices are still very high . The worst part is that you have to BUY the modem .

I am having 512kbps for 1200/-. The price for 1200/- is too high and btw i am from rawalpindi. Any chance to expand in here.

I am using it right now i opted for 1MB connection but it is not available yet there fore currently my connection is limited to 512K you can see down stream and upstream in my sig.

but still for laptops u can purchase a much cheaper router for lyk 3500rs n tht standard worldcall connection which starts at 650rs n thn set the settings to dhcp server..it works...much cheaper...

what if some lives at a place whose telephone exchange sucks like hell (gulzar-e-hijri) i cant use dsl due to telephone problem and this WorldCall evdo provide me gr8 mobility/speed plus no download/upload cap.

Considering the portability factor, I think it's a pretty sweet deal if you want to use Hispeed on the move.

No currently only in karachi testing is running in lahore. After testing you can also use this connection in Lahore / Karachi.
