Will this upgrade be worth it keeping the price in mind or should I keep the same gaming setup?

Pindi Boy.
Hello everyone. I currently have:

Intel i5 2400, Intel basic ddr3 mobo, 8g ram, 7850 GPU and a CM 690 chasis (Old model which is discontinued now)

I want to upgrade to Pentium G 4560, Gigabyte RGB mobo, 8gb DDR4 ram and Rx 580. (I've been quoted around 55-57 for the whole PC including Corsair R200)

I don't NEED the upgrade because of the speed or something but there are few faults in my PC that pisses me off. Games run smoothly as per my requirements (Not a hardcore gamer anymore but my brother is) but I think an upgrade would be better and should be done when I can.

Any other suggestions around this range? Any idea how much my CPU, MOBO, 8gb RAM and Cooler Master CM 690 will sell for?

This rig will last you another year or so.
Selecting a G processor with 580 would create significant disparity and will act as bottleneck.
If you want, you can upgrade only graphic card for now and then buy core i3 maybe later.

Really depends on what type of Games you like to play and at what Resolution. As Haroon Sheikh bhai said above, Get a decent GPU (Video Card)... RX 580 or GTX 1070... with a good PSU (Power Supply)... Even better would be, if you take a bullet and get a GTX 1080... Then you'll be future-Proof for quite some time in respect to Video Cards. Later, in a year or so, Get a decent Mobo and CPU... Hopefully an 8th Gen, as they are much better than 7th Gen. Don't forget the power supply...

The RX 580 is a really solid card but the G4560 is going to hold you back in CPU intensive games because it is dual core tbh you're just better off buying i5 3rd gen or better yet i7 3770k since Ivy bridge might be supported by your Mobo if not you can buy one for 2000-2500 nowadays. Also please do not skimp on a PSU and get a quality unit from Antec, Corsair, Evga, XFX, Seasonic , FSP etc always look up on the internet before buying a specific PSU.

That RGB is really going to speed things up (y)

Just upgrade the GPU, rest is fine (specially compared to the upgrades you are planning)
Thank you guys!

Do you think 38k is a good price for Rx 580 8G? A cousin of mine is selling the one which he used for a month for his mining rig. I've got Xigmatec 600w psu and there's something wrong with my PC. Ram keeps on burning again and again. Maybe it's because of the used motherboards that I've bought all my life or what? It's just one ram that stops working after some time. I've changed like 4 till now. My corsair vengeance 8b ram :frown::frown::frown:

Core i3 8th gen would be better than Core i5 2nd gen?

If you can bring him down to 35-36 that would be really good. BTW you might wanna change up that PSU since its not that reliable and if you're gonna use it with a card like 580, I wouldn't take the risk. Yes the 8100 is better than the i5 2nd gen

For now I've planned on an upgrade like this:

Core i7 7700k (32k)
Gigabyte B8 mobo (8k)
8gb ddr4 memory (10k)
MSI Rx 580 (38k) (Had a look at a few 480 8gb but they were almost priced the same as I've been offered for 580 + it's used for a few months by a friend so I can trust blindly)

Good enough?

Which PSU would you recommend for this setup as my PSU isn't very reliable.

OR

I can settle for less and get an i7 4790 with hsf + mobo + 8gb ram in 30k vs i7 7700k + mobo + 4gb DDR4 in 45k

@Nomad @maxold90 @haroonsheikh @Gamer45 @Mirwan

Suggestions needed guys. I thought of going for the 7th gen since it's more future proof with DDR4 and all.

i would not recommend you to buy i7 4790. Although it is a decent processor, it will soon get outdated.
Should go with 7700k.
As far as PSU is concerned, any goof 550-600 watts PSU should suffice. No need to go for hi fi brands.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
