I found some apps back when I tried to do this. Either the apps didnt work correctly or asked for money.

Its possible, I transferred my chat from iPhone 6 to Android. I used wazzapmigrator to do it, and it worked. Some images weren't linked properly but overall it worked pretty good.

If you go to Settings -> Chats -> Chat backup
You will see an option to back up your chats. On android it backs them up on google drive. You can select if you want to back up the the videos too or not. This backup gets restored if you reinstall WhatsApp.
Now I have tried and this works when switching between android phones. I have never used an iPhone.

Should be possible using Google Drive like [MENTION=12105]Newton[/MENTION] said if the iOS app allows back ups on Google Drive.
Can say from experience you cant transfer chat backups from android to iphone.
