- Series X | PS5 are identical in graphical and RT settings
- Series X has lower AF. PS5 has puddles on ground missing on RT reflective sufraces.
- Series S has almost every setting lowered and runs at a lower game play resolution.
- PS5 has generally faster loading times.
- All next-gen versions target and never drop from 30 FPS.

Identical settings but PS5 seems to have better Anisotropic filtering, likely a big on Series X. On PS5, puddles aren't reflected on reflections (PUDDLE GATE 2.0) which also seems to be a bug.

Alex also wonders what are those extra compute units and bandwidth doing for Series X.

Playing through this, really want to get this done and sell it before the prices plummet :p

The game functionally plays exactly like WD2 but they've added a lot more mobility options. You can get cargo flying drones where you can park your player character on top and just use the drone to fly them around.

It's literally like playing the game with no-clip. Anyone whose played WD2 will remember how so many of the puzzles/tech upgrades require you to solve mini navigation puzzles, find raising platforms etc etc .. this just lets you bypass them straight up and fly to your destination. Really game breaking and really fun lol.

The game also has RT but I would have appreciated it more if it had an optional RT off Performance mode. The RT in the game isn't something that's really wow-ing me when the entire rest of the package is clearly still a last-gen looking effort.

@Chandoo : my main mode of transport at some point became that industrial drone and getting on top of it and flying everywhere..now that I think about it, it felt more of a flying car experience than what cyberpunk promised but didnt deliver on

Yes, the flying drones you can ride are like a GTA V mod and break the game lol

Finished the game and already up for sale. Got this in a B2G1 sale and it was probably the only way I would have played it.

Kinda boring, fundamentally it plays exactly like WD2. However the 'recruit anyone' mechanic means the main character isn't as fleshed out as Marcus from WD2.

At least the game isn't broken and/or extremely glitchy. 🤷‍♂️

Wow, lazy dev rhetoric. nice lol. Almost like Legions and Valhalla are possibly developed by two different Ubisoft studios.

Watch Dogs has always been a very demanding game to achieve 60fps at maximum detail levels. Current gen consoles are already struggling to maintain a stable 30fps. Ubisoft Toronto probably wanted to push the detail level higher on PS5/Series X compared to current gen and the lack of a 60fps mode means the CPU/GPU probably aren't "pulling above their weight" enough in delivering a stable frame rate. In that case, limiting to 30fps and increasing detail level beyond current gen standard with added ray tracing makes sense.

Yup. From his own analysis:

A core i5-8400 with 6 threads and an RTX 2060 Super can run the game at 1440p/45-50fps on Ultra settings. There's literally no reason to believe the PS5 and Series X couldn't do 60fps at a 1440p or above with RT off.
Can't wait for DF analysis :ROFLMAO:

Also, a Ryzen 3700X, which is roughly equivalent to the current-gen console CPUs, runs the game at an average frame rate of 58fps on Ultra @ 1080p with an RTX 2060 S (a weaker GPU than the one in either console, as far as rasterization is concerned). Press F indeed lol.
Already backtracking :ROFLMAO:

Still no evidence that Ultra settings was ever an expectation at 60fps for the PS5/Series X versions 🤣

Watch as these consoles run the game at 60fps at the exact same settings with RT reflections disabled lol.

So he mentions that i5-8400 (which slower than PS5/XSX cpu) can do 40-50fps at Ultra, and 3700x (which is roughly equivalent to PS5/XSX cpu) gives average 58fps at Ultra, but expects the console to do 60fps at lower settings? Dat signature goal post shifting :ROFLMAO:

Also:

There isn't any indication that the PS5/Series X can push a stable 60fps in Legion even with RT off. Unless the detail levels are kept at last gen levels or lower.

References my comments on the PC benchmark, uses them to declare my expectation from the PS5/Series X versions despite being stated otherwise. That's one approach 😄 🤷‍♂️

Says that 3700x is capable of 60fps at Ultra, which is equivalent to PS5/XSX CPU, but now expects the PS5/XSX to run 60fps at lower settings i.e. "exact same settings" as with RT reflections ON. That's another approach :ROFLMAO:

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
