Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Launching August 22nd

We’ve been hard at work since revealing Uncharted: The Lost Legacy at PSX building a story and an experience that joins a new protagonist, fan favorite Chloe Frazer, with all of the hallmarks of an Uncharted adventure. Today, we’re excited to share new footage and additional details about the game you’ve been eagerly waiting for—beginning with our release date. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy will launch on August 22, 2017 in North America for $39.99 USD, $49.99 CAD. The Lost Legacy will arrive on August 23 in Europe.

In December we said that we’re approaching this project as a true Uncharted game—complete with its own deep narrative with complex character development, all-new destinations, refined gameplay, and blockbuster cinematic moments. We’re especially excited to have Chloe as our new protagonist and explore more of her story as she and Nadine venture across India in search of the fabled Tusk of Ganesh. To that end, we wanted to share a new scene from early on in the game as Chloe and Nadine try to unravel the clues leading to the Tusk’s location. Check it out:

Finally, you may have heard that our friends at PlayStation are bringing all four of the original Jak and Daxter PS2 classics to the PS4 via PS Store later this year. As beloved games in Naughty Dog history, we couldn’t imagine a better pairing for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Anyone that pre-orders The Lost Legacy at participating retailers will receive a free digital copy of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy for PS4 when it launches on August 22. For those who pre-order on PS Store, you’ll also get an Uncharted: The Lost Legacy PS4 theme designed by Truant Pixel.

If you picked up the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Digital Deluxe Edition, Explorer’s Pack, or the Triple Pack, you’ll get Uncharted: The Lost Legacy as a digital download at launch. Owners of these products are not eligible for any pre-order bonuses.

We look forward to sharing more details about Uncharted: The Lost Legacy soon.

Better be real big for $39.99 :-/

this is probably a rare instance where the season pass owners got the better end of the straw.

40$ 10 hours long 6hrs narrative 3 hrs gameplay and 1hr of looking here n there.
They're promising a full game experience here. I have to imagine they padded in and added more content when they decided to give it a retail release.

Still, anyone who bought the UC4 season pass is getting the best deal.

I am not going to watch the extended gameplay. I fear i might end up watching the whole game :laugh1:

Only 10 hours of game for $40 is ridiculous.

not 10hrs of game

4hrs of gameplay & 6hrs of narrative. :p
very true. Uncharted 4 failed to impress me at everything, be it gameplay or level design. I had to push myself to complete the game even for the first time compared to Uncharted 2 which i finished more than 12 times. I am pretty sure they won't have anything new to offer in lost legacy just like in Uncharted 4. So i am gonna let this pass. Might just follow the story line on youtube, afterall it would hardly take 20 minutes.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy feels like a true Uncharted game

How familiar is too familiar?

f you were worried that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy would turn out to be an Unchartedknockoff, a lesser-than experience starring side characters that people don’t really care about, well, I would be jumping the gun if I laid those fears to rest completely. I’ve only played the game for about 45 minutes.
But it doesn’t seem like that will be an issue. Instead, The Lost Legacy feels exactly like a proper Uncharted game — in ways both good and bad.
The Lost Legacy focuses on a team-up of convenience between Chloe Frazer, who’s basically a more self-interested Nathan Drake, and Nadine Ross, the opportunistic ex-leader of Shoreline, a private military corporation introduced in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. They join forces to track down the Tusk of Ganesha, a fictional artifact from Indian history that dates back to the Hoysala Empire. (Chloe is apparently half Indian — which feels like a bit of a retcon, considering that the series has never mentioned that side of her heritage before — and her knowledge of Hindu mythology helps unlock many of the secrets that the duo is pursuing.)
Of course, Nadine and Chloe can’t just undertake a methodical treasure hunt at their own leisure. They’re racing against the villain of the story, an Indian warlord named Asav who’s also hot on the trail of the artifact. Asav is fighting a civil war, and it’s not yet clear how he believes the item will help his cause — but it’s probably for the best if we don’t let the situation get to that point.

In the segment I played, which was an unspecified amount of time into the story, it was clear that Chloe and Nadine were
still feeling each other out. Neither of them is an open book, and it seems like their relationship will be marked by the kinds of ups and downs you’d see in, say, a buddy cop movie. Nadine has some kind of history with Asav, but of course she brushes it off whenever Chloe asks for details. And James Cooper, lead designer on The Lost Legacy at developer Naughty Dog, told me that Nadine will behave differently in combat depending on how she and Chloe are getting along at that moment.

going gold meaning even that game will have extra content to be paid for.

its not generally good for us as they wont give us full content in one game.

anyhow this is controversial topic.
aray bhai kehna kia chahte ho ?

This began development after the main game shipped, this is not content cut off from the main game. Nathan Drake isn't even in this.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
