Ah alright! I was under impression that you pre-ordered in Pak. That's why I got surprised to see your phone.

Yesterday I went to Samsung store in Lahore where I pre-ordered and asked them about the launch date and they said 28th. Let's see. I hope they won't go beyond this week.

Anyways, what are your impressions, how does it feel like holding into your hand (being a 6.2" screen), do post some camera results with the phone as well.


As for when I'm getting mine, the retailer updated that they have received their first shipment today and are delivering as per the pre-order date priority. I initialaly pre-ordered on 1st of April, thought about getting an Orchid Grey variant but changed my mind and had to cancel the pre-order and then again pre-ordered on 4th of April.

Let's see if I get it by today, if not, then probably sometime this week.

I have professional level Nikon photo equipment...and I can say that my 'long in the tooth' Samsung Note 3 N9005 takes excellent pictures, so much so that for web use I never need to use my DSLRs!

It feels great to hold. Only slightly taller than my Note 5.

No preorder gifts for me. Got a local voucher to be used in the UAE and that's about it.

Will be posting some camera samples. Takes photos very similar to the S7 edge, but there is a noticeable difference.

I thought long and hard about the colour I wanted to get but deciding on midnight black seemed like a great idea.

Will be testing that soon, I have a pair of 50 dollar Sony earphones that I regularly use, and they sound very good on this, although that could be because I'm very biased and am not an audiophile, but I've found that sound quality from the headphone jack on Samsung phones is very good compared to other phones I've tried like the OnePlus 3 and the Nexus 6P.

HTC's One series phones came with BoomSound and Dolby enhancements, hence they had very good audio quality, both through the front facing stereo speakers and the headphone jack.

Too early to say anything about the performance. It's snappy and quick right now, but a few software updates down the line and it'll start to show.

And yes, Samsung may score well in my books in terms of SOT, but their improvements for standby are slow. The S7 was a huge improvement from the S6, but this is practically the same as the S7. They just can't fix standby drain for some reason.
