yes its a windows 8.1 tab. it runs the full version of windows 8.1 so yo can run all the regular desktop apps and games on it.

Specs:
Intel Baytail Z3740D (quad core 1.3 Ghz CPU which boosts to 1.8Ghz)
2GB RAM
64GB internal storage + added another 64GB Samsung UHC-I Micro-sd Card.


it does not have a sim card slot but i believe there is a 4g version with data capabilities.

it cost me around $280 which includes shipment and taxes.

lol read it again mate. i said there's another version with 4g support. The one i have has no Mobile data capabilities.with this device you basically get a fully functional windows 8.1 pc in an 8 inch tablet form factor. the performance and battery life is comparable to high end android tablets which cost twice as much.

It's a really really great device , but during my time with baytrail on asus t100 I had I really hard time transferring stuff from my win8 tablet to laptop, WiFi sharing had some issues and also could not select multiple items more than 5 , at the end I had to use slow Bluetooth share and it took me 4 hours

I can select any number of files like you'd normally do in windows. You could have gotten a USB otg cable and plugged in a flashdrive or an externally powered harddrive into it too.

Files were large in size ,only had a small USB with me, had to urgently copy some family pics, and I had the selection issue on my t100 and also on Acer aspire win8 tablet

And also have u had high battery drain issues while gaming ,using a wired x360 controller ? .... Usually these tablets have great battery life but using a 360 controller with some emulators drained the battery real fast

Haven't played any games on it yet but I'll install FIFA 12 on it and try my x360 controller on it. I haven't had any file copying issues with it. I moved around 20 GB worth of data on it yesterday and it was done without a hiccup. The battery life is great. I unplugged it 8am this morning. Used it in class for around 3 hours and then used it at work for about 2 hours and it still has 60% left.

I read about other win 8 tabs have selection issues but those were fixed with the 8.1 update. I guess you just had to tap the update button.
