thank you all..it is a desktop replacement with two hard disks, a bluray writer, a full sized keyboard, 17.3" screen and a powerful graphics card..all this cannot be pushed into a thin body without sacrificing cooling and removing several components..I have a very thin and light Sony Vaio Duo 13 that I carry with me for work

dude guess you didn't read my previous reply to this post..I am based in Qatar and bought it locally from Virgin megastore

Update: have placed an order for Samsung 850 PRO 512GB SSD and bought an optical bay caddy..will remove the bluray writer, move one of the 1tb in it and replace the boot 1tb with the 850 pro ssd..so I will end up with a 512GB SSD and 2 x 1 tb hybrid drives :clap

Good invest on SSD does it support conventional ssd or MSATA ? you ordered SSD locally or from amazon ?
and how much did it costed you at virigin megastore in Qatari Riyal my wild guess is 5200 QAR

it supports sata, msata and m.2 also. I've ordered the SSD from amazon.

I paid QR.8100 for it..5200 will get you a dell/hp/msi laptop with 840m here.

Virgin is both in Villaggio and Landmark..I bought from Villaggio and yeah they do accept dollars..or if you are around then I'll take dollars and pay from my credit card

I was searching for this laptop and good thing i did not buy the gtx870m for 7400 riyals laptop from jarir. I will buy the gtx970m in july or augast cause i am in egypt and my parents are in qatar i suppose its price will be lowered to 7000 riyals by then.

It has arabic keyboard so you should be good. Jarir is a ripoff and still selling the older Asus models for higher price. You may be able to get one with a gtx980m if you plan to wait till July or August for a good price.
