Tried Uber last weekend, It was 0 meter Cultus Latest Model with AC, Driver reached on time & was very friendly, 437 Charges from Nazimabad Rizvia to Kababjees Do Darya minus 300 Discount So it just costed me 150 Rs on single side which is quite affordable

man 437 is still cheap , ask any local taxi wala and he will charge even more

Good these careem and Uber will give those local taxi rickshaw wala some sense to charge fares properly .

Although i dont know weather its still safe for girls to ride these rides alone yet , as Yellow taxi is recognizable , but these cars aint if some thing goes south

True that,
After owning and driving a personal car. I almost burst into anger when rickshaws ask for 100 rs on a journey that merely costs 20 rs CNG at most. I am very happy that these transport services are introduced. Karachi is now literally flooded with rickshaws charging insane amounts. They should learn a lesson.

I would use these services just to avoid the insane amount of haggling required to get anything close to a fair price with rickshaw drivers. I am no longer in karachi but remember paying 50rs to 200rs for the same distance depending on the mood and availability of rickshaw drivers. Hopefully these services will have some impact on the transportation mafia.
