Toyota Vtiz Query

So I had a chat with a relative and he suggested me to buy a Toyota Vitz without engine and then buying a good engine separately, he said it would greatly reduce the cost of the car and when done by a good mechanic, it will perform considerably better. So my question is how much does a 2008 Vitz without engine sells for? And what engine should I be coupling it with? Keep in mind I will be running it only on petrol and the engine must have good enough economy. You guys are welcome to suggest other cars and shizz as well but my priority is Vitz. Budget is no more than 6 lacs.

Not worth the hassle. You will end up with a used engine and you never know how long it will run and its condition. I have yet to come across A vitz being sold without a engine.

I recently have a token for a 2010 vitz and waiting for it to reach Karachi port.

Its really hard to find cars without engine although engines are available at local markets. I would suggest you to buy a vitz, sell off its engine and buy another one of your desired specification

P.S. its for around 8+

^8+ for a 2005 model?
I currently own a 2005 Suzuki Alto, but I hate it with all my heart. Whilst doing some research, I found Nissan March, looks decent enough and the interior is very good. Can a good condition Nissan March 2005+ model be had for 6 lacs? Also how is it's petrol average?

These are very rare here in peshawar. I don't know about other cities. My next door neighbour bought it and sold it after few months. maybe because of its poor performance.

Can you mention your requirement? Look, the thing you wrote in op is impossible. Its just useless you know. You have alot of better choice available.

Why do you even want to swap the engine? any reasons? You want to make a sports car out of it or what?

^Well forget about the thing mentioned in the OP, I thought it was possible but too much of a headache really. I researched about the March, and people claim being a Nissan it's performance is very good and the petrol average is almost as good as JDM Alto. The car will be in my use only, and I have a really tight budget of 600k. What choices do I have other than March?

again, the question arises that what do you require. In 6 lac you can get a brand new mehran which has awesome petrol average.
Auto transmission or manual?
Cng or petrol? or maybe both?
Power windows/steering or not?
660cc or 1000?
2 doors or 4doors?

I wont ever go for a mehran. I totally hate it! As for your questions:
I can make do with either transmission
I would be running the new car on petrol solely
Car has to be a four door, I can make do with a 660cc engine as well provided it performs well even with AC.

Maintenance is not an issue, I can manage that. I just need a small and good enough car. Right now I'm eyeing both Mira and March. Which would be a better choice? One more thing, the car has to be 4 door.
