the representive was well aware of the new packages ... called it transformation packages
sadly very few exchanges currently offer it
I am in DHA Lahore, and that exchange does not have this promo
Wapda Town, Gulberg are the select few in Lahore

guess i will be stuck with 8Mb/ 3000rs for now

that being said, browsing on ptcl past few days including today has been shit

They won't offer it in DHA Lahore for as long as they can as DHA lahore isn't allowing any new Fiber companies to enter especially Phase 1 - 4 and since they are safe from competition they don't need to. Same with wateen they upgraded the package in Phase 5 to 15Mbps from 10Mbps and even lowered the price and for the same lowered price giving 20Mbps Fiber in Gulburg.

Our only hope is if any new company arrives i know that other than fiberlink all companies want to enter but sadly either DHA is just not giving permission or asking an exorbitant amount of money to allow other companies to lay their network.

The exchange in DHA Lahore is pathetic some random girl whose name we haven't even heard according to them called them and got our phone line closed, that to they closed within like 10-12 hours after they received the alleged request for closure which by the way is a record they never work that fast. For a change their customer me went few times to customer care and exchange and even they were surprised LOL that i wanted to get my line active again but after weeks of trying they couldn't activate so i guess i am finally over PTCL for now.

P.S Optix i think are aiming to cover some parts of phase 3 by year end.

There has been some digging going around in phase 3 for a while. Laying down wires, not sure which one's through.
I really hope they've given permission to other ISPs :/

Hello everyone, Well I am a bit confused I am having a problem with my broadband, I am having a connection of 8 mbps but I am getting speed of 4 mbps, my line rate seems to be of 8 mbps so I was curious that what exactly is causing problem, is it from exchange or any line problem?
I have been complaining on 1218 from a long time but nothing seems to change.

yes sadly citizens of lahore DHA are the unluckiest people in lahore
DHA collects "theka" from ISPs, one of the reasons most ISPs dont come to DHA
Optix is the only other one that has recently moved in but with very limited locations
i live in Phase 2 and doubt any new ISP will move in this region

U need to tell them that ur port has been downgraded to 4Mbps and your profile is set to 8Mbps which is good ... just DM to PTCL cares on twitter to get it resolved on priority bases ...

If thats the case why they haven't add F,G,I Sectors of Islamabad ? F-11 has PTCL GPON and Nayatel ? still this service is not available there ? I think they're are stupid .

I also have fiber in my area and they have recently upgraded our exchange as well but these packages are not yet available in that exchange

The representative said that once you are on transformed package, you cannot revert back to lower data rate packages.

Available in Peshawar but not elsewhere.

Wow we are stuck with nayatel, with 5 Mbps and limited downloads in day time even though the customer service is a 1000 times better , 100 mb vs 5/7mb is a joke and they really need to step up their game , it's very strange I called them today and they said this package is not available in g9-1 Islamabad yet but it's available in Peshawar wtf ptcl
