What's the status of the fiber now? So pissed with the disconnection and lag issues from a month now. These linemen don't know shit and all they say is it will take 15-20 days more whenever I ask them about fiber.

My cable splicing wala kaam is pending. Will call someone at the exchange tomorrow. The other day they didn't have the required equipment so they just left the cable hanging inside my room.

Yeah I don't want to be without a working connection when they turn the thing on. Called them yesterday and today. No one has come yet. The guy said a lot of people left with this issue. He's considering making a separate team for it.

So i just upgraded my PTCL GPON to 100 mbps.

So PTCL guys came to the my shop today with this brochure.

According to them, PTCL fibre is minimum 15 Mbps or above. (can someone confirm this)

For new connections, charges are 9000 Rs installation for 15Mbps but if anyone chooses 25Mbps then there is an offer where user will only have to give 3000Rs for new connection.

They also said that you can downgrade after the installation of 25Mbps but didnt tell me any downgrade charges etc (can someone also confirm this if there are any charges)

They were also selling or marketing copper connections as well and were saying you can get 4Mbps on copper for 3000Rs.
After listening copper, my literal reaction was this

I`m getting 25mbps on copper, only downside is upload speed which is limited to 1mbps.

mujhe bhi keh rahay thay week kay baad basti mein installation karein gain app kaay ghr brochure phenkein gain

mein dsl use kar raha hoon mujhe keh raha tha agr app 25mb GPON lagwate hain tou pay just 1000rs

They were standing with a truck in front of the market as well, and were saying that if you order today then they will install in 2 days (i didnt order)

I didnt ask about upgradation cost. They might still be standing there.

Switch will be flipped on Saturday according to the latest update. I was told this by the guys who came today to do the splicing. Basically everything on my end (besides the configuration part, which takes like 2-3 minutes) is ready. They said the service will be live on Saturday.

btw which speed did u opt for plus how much charges u paid for installation?
