just type fast vs interleave in google you will know it
in simple it will drop your ping 20-30ms while gaming
2 or 3 people before your comment said the pings were back to ~165 towards EU. I'm guessing you're getting different pings to certain servers? Which is how connectivity works. Direct routing to EU doesn't mean you'll be directly connected to every carrier/server/telco/data hub/warehouse in EU directly.
Sorry buddy, can't help you there. I have never personally interacted with local teams or customer support so I wouldn't know. Your best bet is to get connected to guys in your exchange.
call 1236 again tomorrow and ask them if they have upgraded ur profile to vdsl. most probably they will tell u tht u have been upgraded to vdsl. if u are indeed upgraded to vdsl then ur adsl modem will stop working and u will need to go ur exchange to get the vdsl modem. atleast thts wht i did coz they did not provide me with a vdsl modem by themselves. i had to go and get it myself. if 1236 tells u tht u are upgraded to vdsl but ur adsl modem is still working then file a complaint at 1218.
No, I don't face any disconnections. Never ever. My line is really stable and it's on copper. Have asked 'ptclcares' to change it. Let's see.

Connecting to them through OTE Globe who have a direct route with PTCL. Their connectivity wasn't affected by the SMW4 or IMEWE outage.
Oh man, I really was hoping it wouldn't come to that. Their exchange is horrible, and none of them ever seem willing to help, it almost feels like a prison based on the shoddy building and people.
Are you sure this is standard practice? Does everyone who gets a VDSL upgrade end up having to go to the exchange to get the VDSL modem?
I was kind of hoping that when the line guy comes to install the VDSL card, he will visit my house with the new modem as well. Or is there no longer a VDSL card that needs to be installed with the new ptcl cabinets? just the backend configuration change from adsl to vdsl? sigh.

Not all cabinets have VDSL card. If your exchange is fully transformed than there must be VDSL card installed. In other case there is 50-50 chance that VDSL card would be installed at your cabinet.
If VDSL is installed than your DSL guy will change your port from ADSL to VDSL and your ADSL modem will stop working and he will replace your modem to VDSL in order to make your connection live.

Yeah I saw that. But you said we will have direct traffic towards Europe. What does it mean? I am noticing the overall browsing, streaming and responses to european websites have been improved a lot. But that doesn't affect latencies? How come transworld has so much better pings to Europe, their end users get about 115-120 ms pings while PTCL users don't even get 150.
Can someone please help me on this? I upgraded my connection to 20 MBPS (the new VDSL thingy). My modem is the same old modem, and my line is same too. After upgradation, the problem was my net frequently disconnected. I complained to them, and they (without telling ofcourse), reduced my speed. My download speed became half of what it was! It used to be 2+ mbps and it then became 1.2 mbps approx. But the connection became reliable.
Now, I want a reliable connection, AND a fast download speed... What should I do? Any one tried GPON?

TW has better secondary networks, better commercial agreements with neutral carriers/internet exchanges/data warehouses and data hubs.

Anybody experiencing very low speed or high fluctuation in downloading speed on torrent? As I am facing it from many days. I contacted the local concern person but he is also not sure what is the issue.
First, it was splitter issue which causing downstream to keeping the 4mb connection well under 3mb, as I checked and confirmed by changing the splitter, and now, the downstream is fixed; it's showing complete 4607 kbps. SNR margin is stable too.
On Torrent, the fluctuation is too high, like the speed comes down from 200 to 10 kbps abruptly and stays within 50kbps for sometime. This is abnormal.
For comparative analysis, I checked the speed on IDM, too. Here is the screenshot. It mostly stayed between 500 - 600 KB/sec
Also, here is the DSL statistics;

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
