Hi guys,

I connected a RJ-45 Ethernet cable (cross) to my PS3 straight from my wimax modem. But nothing lights up. THe PS3 does not detect the cable.

My question is : Do i need a straight or cross network cable to connect my ps3??

Anything else i need to do to activate the connection? I have read the network guide but it still needs to detect the cable

Try a straight cable. Cross cable is better suited to PC to PC connections. If a straight cable doesn't work then ask us again.

Guyz my friend`s PS3 got bricked while updating the firmware is there any way to downgrade its firmware???? or install a new firmware...??

Yaar ! I have a question regrading PSN : During any game Beta does everyone on PSN get a Beta Invite or are they selected randomly ?
Secondly what is the minimum video signal that PS3 requires ? 720i or 720p ? Cause I maybe getting LCD (Samsung) so I need to know !

^ PS3 can run on any TV (excluding Projectors which aren't really TVs ) . And BETA invites are given out randomly , not to everyone .

There is no need for any device to connect PS3 to LCD. HDMI to DVI cable works fine (if your LCD has a DVI port that is HDCP compatible)

But I rad it somewhere (don't know where) that it can now. Firmware 2.50 has added this functionality into it. Have you tested it or are you just assuming that it still can't???

Try game shops in Liberty market in the basement behind PSO pertol pump, or try game shops at Hall road.

Otherwise you can get HDMI to DVI connector (which comes with new graphic cards and is also available from Galaxy) and use it along with an HDMI cable.
