The first episode was fairly decent. It was just ... all right. Like I expected, I wasn't blown away by any of the performances. But Bohemia and Atif/Qayaas managed to pull off some great tracks. Still, nothing memorable IMO. Hadiqa was pretty boring and SYMT ... *burns with fire* ! Perfected averageness at best. Just plain skip/pass music.

Anyway ... I'm excited to learn that Coke Studio will be featuring this song:

AND THE VOCALS WILL BE DONE BY RACHEL VICCAJI! EFF YES! SUPER STOKED!

^ exactly! wasn't really looking forward to this season after i saw the list of singers. What does Rohail Hyatt like in Atif Aslam?
some songs of season 3 and a very few from the 4th season were prolly the last good ones Coke Studio produced.

and would love this song to be a part of Coke Studio! (y)

Indeed! I'm gonna bet that this will be the hit of the season. It's a great track. Unlike the contemporary pro-collabs going on this will be straight up rock fusion. We'll hear the house band in its dynamic form. And featuring the severely underrated vocals of Rachel might just be the icing on the cake!

So i just watched the 1st episode. Kudos to coke studio team for bringing much better and polished episode.

-Bohemia , Finally another great song after "kali denali". The 2 girls added more fun to the song and its actually a decent message if one listens and understand the lyrics carefully. Awesome!
-SYMT, It was ok, nice try from the beginners. Singer have some potential but the girls spoiled the song they should had been given a separate part for them. P.S. I lol'ed hard on this.."aap poondi jab kr rhy ho" (lmao)
-Hadiqa Kiani, Arif lohar's jugni was successful in the previous season similarly she choose sufiyana kalaam but she failed, i didn't liked it no matter it was full of efforts.
-Hamayoon khan, It was okayish but the rabab was sweet!
-Atif aslam, Whats up the atif's outfit LOL! It was the 2nd best song of the episode. Looking forward to more qayaas's songs :D

P.S. Bohemia rocked the episode without him it was nothing.

I have this bad (some people say its bad) habit of listening to FULL & FINAL release. I was waiting for (atleast) the first episode to finish. And NOW imma download it and RAPE it like hell. By rape, i mean listening to the good ones A MILLION TIMES, literally ... :looking:

So far, i have only listened to Bohemia's Paisay da Nasha. I did it because it was "Bohemia", first time every in Coke Studio ... If you know what i mean ;) And i am glad he performed brilliantly. Not to mention the 'lesson-able' lyrics of the song.

I have loved Vicaaji Sisters ever since they joined Coke Studio. I literally fell in love with Zoe Viccaji in Season 4, when she sung that song "Senraan Ra Baairya" with Asif Hussain Samraat. It was a mixed feeling for me back then. But still listen to that one often, and its safe to say that Vicaaji Sisters are ESSENTIAL part of Coke Studio. Without them, it would've been ... HOLLOW, LIFE LESS.

Overall, the first episode was just 'meh' ... The only song worth listening to was 'Tum Kaho' by SYMT ... The rest had minor setbacks at some points that rendered the song not being really that good. Anxious as to what the preceding episodes have to offer.

Ladies and gentlemen, episode 3 gave a much much better run. The best surprise was Uzair's Nindiya Ke Paar.

Superb vocals. The ending 2 minutes were just beautiful. The calm keyboards matching with the upbeat drumming was a fabulous melody. Genuinely liked this track. Uzair's real debut has been made. It's a memorable effort by Coke Studio.

The other great track was Neray Ah. No surprises there.

Though I wished a dhol solo was there. And I wasn't really diggin the duet. Either of them could have done it better alone. But still, it's a refreshing track. The Punjabi was very well-smooth; clearing the doubts Rachel's ability. And Kamran Zafar nailed the bass here, no wonder he's the most prominent bassist these days.

All in all, it wasn't as terrible as the first two episodes. I will admit that Bohemia disappointed with School Di Kitab. It was a barren fusion rap track. And don't even get me started on Bilal Khan. In the context of Coke Studio he's the most immature songwriter I've ever seen/heard. Pathetic lyrics, and hell, Uzair crushed his last year's debut.

But nonetheless, CK finally picked some right songs this time.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
