is it like necessary to write 2 full pages for the 14 mark questions in the history exam?

my writing is smaller than usual and can write about 1.5 pages with majority of the reasons explained.

quality over quantity mate.
As long as you properly explain what the question asks for, write to the point and give references, you're gonna score 14 marks.

Certainly not!
I wrote ~2 for 1c, 1.5 for 2c and was running outta time to made it concise and had to finish in around 1-1.25 page. Not to mention, I missed out one of the -extra- characters in the time line based ones, and if you explain 70% of them, you get the marks. Ended up with an A* in History. Geography screwed up for me, though, but that's another story.

Oh, and you need not waste time on references in essay questions for Pakstudies. Certainly not needed.

Just make sure you stay on topic. That's the most important.

I have a question, I took CS + Commerce (Acc/BS/Eco) did I make the right choice? Or will I regret this decision forever?
It's not a bad choice at all. Remember, your O Levels have very little impact on your University Applications as a direct effect, perhaps around 20% of the academics section. However, the academics are interlinked, and it's much like a chain reaction. Get my rift?

As far as the choices are concerned, they're absolutely fine. I've studied most, alongside sciences. I honestly find Sciences and Maths (both of them) easier than the Commerce half of the subjects. But then again, it's just my opinion! :)

What are your plans for the future? Unless you have any remote interest to get into the as termed, 'killer', sides 'Engineering' or 'Medical', you need not worry.

well that clears up a lot of my misconceptions.

Its sad to see that most teachers nowadays emphasize on length rather than quality.

Been there, done that.

I've suffered the same dilemma. Suffice to say, my peers helped me out of this. And I'm grateful of them!

What to do for Biology and Physics??
Say your prayers :p

Heh.

You need practice for Physics. Loads and loads and loads of it. You need to be conceptually brilliant. Do the past 8 years of papers after thorough revision using the book. You should, by now, know ALL relevant formulae by HEART. Refer to the OP for the tips I compiled and wrote the other day.

Bio, it's more of a factual study than a conceptual one. I don't really like Bio, and Shary Bhallu TC can help you out more with it.

I do happen to be interested in ICT. (Software Engineering perhaps?) Can't I just give physics privately?

Biology is easy, study from the book and internet and do past papers. Also make notes for everything you find important, they come useful if you forgot something just a day or two before the exam.

You can, but I wouldn't recommend that. It's better to study at an institution and give it. Though it's perfectly fine if you give it yourself via the British Council Pakistan. Might want to consider a private tuition for a month or two.

Just get the Biology Revision Guide endorsed by the Cambridge Board and read through that for the 'day or two' before the exam. Has everything concise, important and relevant. Also, explains enough to grab you 9/10 marks just from the facts.

Algorithms can be both hard and easy, at first I didn't understood Pseudocode at all and had to study them from the basics again to understand, I'll suggest you to learn the loops from online and practice all algorithm/pseudocode questions from past papers.

Refer to the OP. You might want to try out on the RedSpot Key Point books, though I found them vague and only more difficult to comprehend. Lotsa honestly done past papers is what determines your grade. Good luck! (y)

Check out Chemguide.co.uk for revision.

Also, Xtremepapers.com have launched a new revision notes thingy on their main page. Check it out (they ripped some off Chemguide without giving credit though lol).
