saw "war for the planet of the apes" at universal cinemas emporium mall tonight

Spoiler: show

well this one was certainly more exciting than rise of the planet for me... kinda funny at times and more ceaser based like going back kinda to roots and stuff.... humanity at its brink just clawing to fight back and what not... the emotions of the damn apes man those are just awesome, just with eyes the motion capture and all ! damn

this part certainly leaves to the final planet of the apes movie the stuff some scenes shown etc.. definitely match

good movie man and woody harrelson was good...

Lego Batman: What a turnaround for batman. This takes batman and Lego to another level. Totally opposite and kiddish kind of batman. Boring sometimes and dragged in the end too but it’s a good fun movie 7.5/10. (What’s the password).

Life: The only difference between this and other alien movies was that alien (Calvin) Nothing special already saw so many movies like this 5/10.

Kidnap: This whole movie is a car chase. The best thing about this movie is that you can watch it with family especially with your kids because it’s kind of lesson for them and for parents to 7/10.

The Boss Baby: I don’t know the name of that actor is who gave that boss baby voice but great voice acting. Except for that boring pirate imagination scenes this movie was pure FUN 7.5/10.

Kong Skull Island: They gave a big sign what is coming next and I am excited already. First entry of Kong was pretty awesome, real badass. Enormous last fight between Kong and giant lizard. CGI in last fight was superb but whenever humans involved with Kong or lizards CGI goes dull 7/10.

Spiderman Homecoming: Saw it at CINESTAR IMAX on Thursday. I haven’t seen any trailer of it intentionally so I went blank and blind for it. First thing first Tom Holland and Michael Keaton did justice with their characters and Robert Downey Jr. to as always. It was interesting how Spiderman was shown so naive and innocent in start and what he turned into towards the end. It’s a fast paced movie 2 hours passed in a jiffy. Compelling action scenes specially that ship fight scene. This is what I like, an action scene without more cuts and bumpy camera shots. IMO that was the best scene of the movie. And that upgraded suit oh man that was COOL. The only downfall was the music it was not like the amazing Spiderman 2.. So overall it was in between Great & OKAY 7.5/10.
Spoiler: show

War of the Planet of the Apes: Watched it Cinepax on Saturday. Caesar is like The Dark Knight for ape clan. Planet Of The Apes series is not about action or destruction it was all about emotions, dignity and integrity. Matt Reeves did a fantastic job, really looking forward for his batman series and I am sure it will be a good series. One of the best trilogies I’ve seen 8.5/10.

saw "Valerian" at cinestar imax last night

Spoiler: show

well this movie by luc besson was a treat for cgi and visuals... besson does sci fi stuff and usually good . this one was no exception. their were many different species here of aliens. a whole new world set like 600 700 years from now in space

galactic space patrol and stuff. some hidden conspiracies and such.. i was 20 minutes into the movie and had no clue what was going on but naturally doing the progress of the movie it hits you and im like ok so this is that and this.. nicely done this part. the start of the movie is something aswell.

the Mul people actually reminded me very much of the avatar's from james cameroon movie.

dan de haan and cara had good chemistry here. not so shabby i'd say.

rihanna the character she played was cute and sad .. not a long role but it was a potential one

movie was over 2 hours but quite fun and adventurous

Transformers 5: The Last Knight....................(5/10) watched in IMAX 3D at Vox Cinema, Dubai. The worst of all Transformer movies, after 2.5 hours I was glad it was over, no sense of direction, scenes jumping from here and there, total crap movie!!

The Mummy......................(7/10) watched at Vox Cinema, Dubai. The reboot of one of my favorite movie franchise! It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either! Had some funny scenes as well, overall just for time pass! Tom Cruise somehow felt misfit here!

Saw "Dunkrik" at Cinestar IMAX last night

Spoiler: show

ohh man what a movie this was, such sound and cinematography that sucks you into the movie as if you yourself are in the war happening on screen and MAN the IMAX experience was amazing with this one, no one can do better than NOLAN oh yes.. incredible stuff, not much in dialogues but the ACTIONS HERE spoke louder and intensity here was too much... from the first scene till the last, it was amazing.

the one con yes to me was the weird scene perspectives.. i mean it was scenes from different angles perspectives being shown a bit.. again and again. that caught me off guard a bit and i got me off the timeline off the movie a bit....

Best war movie with action and intensity i've seen

What We Do in the Shadows (2014):

Actually my first time watching a mokumentary and I loved it. It was quite refreshing to see movie that could actually make me laugh out loud throughout it's duration, the humor is quite dry and the jokes aren't being forced onto the audience, the characters are very well-written and don't feel boring or mainstream at all.
In conclusion, it was really a great movie filled with the essence of original jokes and brilliantly written characters. Must watch.

8/10

TE3N (2016):

It's based on the Korean movie, Montage. Before diving further, I'd actually give thanks to the studio for actually crediting the original story instead of blatantly copying something * cough * Salman Khan *cough * without giving any credits to the original source.

The movie is helmed by seasoned actors like Amitabh Bachan, Nawauddin Siddique and Vidya Balan. The story here is nothing new, we've seen our fair share of child kidnapping movies. Although what is different and unique in a good way is how the movie keeps you intrigued from the start till the end and how it fools you by making you think that the events at two places are happening simultaneously but they are not, I am not gonna reveal too much of the twist now..
Amitabh does a great job at portraying a grandfather who has lost his only granddaughter who he loved more than anything in his late days, although what is lacking here is that Nawazuddin is used properly, they could focus more on the inspector turned into a priest.
One more thing that could've been better is the pace of the movie, it was moving at quite a slow pace.

7.3/10

p.s have some free time on my hand so gonna do some reviews for a while.

Dunkirk 8/10. Really enjoyed this movie. Sound track was amazing plus cinmatography. Story was little shallow as compared to other Nolan work.
