you didn't save me anything, i watch movies bad or good and tend to decide myself.. but you just said it yourself in the post that "nothing happens" which was the plot of the whole movie like most thrilers are at the end etc which keeps people hooked to the end waiting for something to happen...... pfftSaved your 90 mins. My thoughts exactly about the franchise. Haven't seen the 5th part yet.
Curse of the Black Pearl was an almost perfect adventure blockbuster. A sort of our time's Indiana Jones type treasure quest movie. My love for that first one is immense. Maybe among the first movies I truly remember adoring. I have watched it countless times.
Dead Man's Chest is terrific as well. It tries to cram in a lot of things, but I had a lot of fun watching it. But then something went terribly wrong. At World's End was an ambitious mess, trying to tell a complex narrative but ultimately mundane, overlong and not a worthy conclusion to the story.
The fourth one was without a doubt the dullest of the bunch, given that third was the most confusing.
It is overhyped. I think people (critics and audiences alike) got caught up in the cultural significance of this being the first major female superhero and being helmed by a female director that the movie was not given the chance to stand on its own merit. I enjoyed it but didn't think it was great or anything. Chris Pine was the show stealer for me, throughout, and Gal Gadot is great as Wonder Woman as well.Watched Wonderwoman again. Still think it's overrated.
Yeah, I don't think it's a bad movie either. I think it's above avg at best. In their pursuit of making DC movies appeal to regular fans, they removed some very crucial things that make a DC movie, a DC movie. It is overhyped. Agreed. It was an entertaining movie, but it wasn't extraordinary or anything like that. For me, it was disjointed; first act was ok, second act was awesome, third act was good-ish.It is overhyped. 170 + countries where Steam sells but PSN doesn't will lose access unless they use VPNfaraany3k said:I have heard that it is now unplayable in countries which do not support handful of third world countries not recognized by Sony like Pakistan. Steam is a true global platform. Then they cry that console gaming is dying.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.iampasha said:Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
