Finished the game over the weekend.

It's a good game, no doubt about it.
Could it have been better? Certainly.
Is it better than Part 1? No, not even close.

Protecting someone is a lot better motivation than revenge. Sense of discovery and adventure from the first game were also missing from this one.

I refrained from visiting this thread as well as all other media related to the game to form my own opinion about it by playing the game myself. Despite the story and other elements of the game not being as good as the original, I would have liked the game a lot more (or be less annoyed by it) if it hadn't appointed itself as the flag bearer for

LGBTQ issues. I mean, all that "sufferings of lesbians and transgenders" s**t that was shoved down everyone's throat a bit too forcefully was something I found very annoying.
