Yeah. The final install size is 5.60GB. Its still a pretty amazing feat to have this much content in such a small size. And while it doesn't exactly wow with its visuals, similar looking games are nearly double the download size with less content.

You can do 1080p60 at Ultra settings easily. I get 40-60FPS at everything maxed out (only Shadows at High, Distant object detail Medium) at 1680x1050, 4xAA/16xAF. Rarely does it dip below 30FPS. The game does look nice in some areas but overall its nothing special visually.

Anyway, just reached Skyrim. The starting was good. Combat still feels cumbersome though, the animations have barely gotten any improvements. Its laughable by today's standards. Lets see how much dual-wielding makes a difference.
texture look better and i was the only one who said in this thread that only the graphics took a step ahead.everything else feels the same.still ul love the random dragon encounters

btw use some other hosting website man...this one is filled with ads spamming and pop-ups :S

@Gizmo: The atmosphere is great. But I still stand by what I said in the other thread.

Regarding playing in third person view: anyone playing on PC, just increase the FOV through the console command (bring it up by pressing tilde ` and entering fov X - where X is your fov). Makes a huge difference. Exploring in third person view and switching to first person in combat now.

Btw what triggers the cinematic kills? I always happen to do it on the 2nd or 3rd strike.

@JourneysEnd: Its not a bad looking game by any stretch. But its not the best looking RPG either.

Like Fallout, its either when you end with a critical strike, or kill the last guy in a group of enemies.

Lol I never understood why so much hype for Oblivion was so never got into the Skyrim hype, but then when I saw Skyrim on the torrent sites, I decided, what the heck, lets just go and see a video of it. Boy, NEVER realized that THIS was what I was missing out from. DAMN!! I seriously need to get this game NOW!(Not on the PC, of course, the PS3 hehe)

Its amzing how such a small size of a game holds a huge game like this. However complaints about graphics; Well they had to work on both the RPG elements and Graphics at the same time, if they would have spent all time improving graphics than it wasn't more than an improved oblivion. Skyrim is much more than oblivion in technical terms.

For example take Witcher 2, probably the best looking RPG but at the cost of limited quests and not as huge envoironment and too few monsters. Syrim trades off some graphics but gives you unlimited fun.

As previously done there will be texture packs and mods soon enough. So what you really have here is a sandbox game which will be enhanced by community over time.

But on the bright side almost all of us have no problem running it on ultra, and enjoying the game.

Thats not a limitation of their engine. Witcher was always meant to be a directed, heavily story-driven experience. The areas are still pretty big and its not a short RPG by any means. It was never meant to be as massive as Elder Scrolls.

With that said, the game definitely looks better in motion.

True. The performance has been solid so far and its much more polished than Oblivion was.

Did you miss my post where I talk about adjusting the FOV? Who said it isn't there? I meant that its better played in first person view, atleast during combat.

Personally speaking bling bling graphics is a plus for me, what I look for in a RPG is good storyline and depth in that and also it shouldn't get repetitive.

Hey guys, is it easy to get the hang of this game? For newcomers to the series, especially? Please share some tips before I start this epic adventure

Holy shit ..

just when I thought I'd seen all the major cities in the town .. i take part in a random drinking contest in an inn and end up in a massive new town all the way to the west of the world map .. what the fuck lol, and there's already a dozen or so major quests here too .. daaaaaaaaaaaaamn !!

@Gizmo, I found that shout that makes the weapon swings faster, i forget the exact name but its in a dragon crater in the west side of the world map, its slightly right and north of the khajit on the hill that gives you the quest to find some random items for a ritual things like a flawless gem etc etc ... i'll try to get the exact name of that place ..

anyway, i received a quest from someone to slay the dragon on that hill, and after that i noticed the word of power in the base of the mountain the dragon was chilling on, and it was the swing faster shout. Problem solved !

edit : RE@ Quests : people who thought Oblivion's main quest line was boring might not find much different here, but unlike Oblivion the game doesn't distinct between "story" and "other" quests, all major quests are lined up in the same pane, and even more so than Oblivion there are a lot more series of quests that have their own self contained storylines as well, so you're taking part in multiple story instances at the same time ..

so I guess that works, because no single quest line is really dragged along.

As for weaponry, I just did a deadric quest in the town i mentioned above, ending up with me helping the evil deadric spirit, he awarded me with a mace that has an attack of 52 (for references the leveled up swords i was wielding before hand had 42 attack each), needless to say I'm using the super awesome mace in my right hand and my leveled up silver sword in left, for an awesome and gut ripping attack power of 94 per swing.

Oblivion allowed free roaming after the main quest, so I don't see any reason this wouldn't. Haven't beaten the game yet so can't say.

The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.
