Whats wrong with the these people keep running towards Bollywood movies and not releasing Kung Fu Panda 3. I was excited to see Kung Fu Panda 3 but now its not releasing in Pakistan. Released date is 11th March Now..As Cinepax website shows.

Well i am not crying i am just angry cause i promised my kid we,ll watch KFP 3 together.. But the good thing its releasing same week with Bats vs sups so we can watch 2 good movies in one day (Y)..

wait march 11th wtf is wrong with the cinema importers here man, its jan 29 in usa and usually they come in a week or two here and many a times same release date but march is freaking too long man, i think you might be mistaking it for feb 11 or something... also bat vs sup is march 25th

Has anyone been to the Cine Star IMAX Cinema in Lahore?

I saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens there is December

IMAX is awesome but you won't feel anything different because it's just a big screen even though I thought the 70mm film projection would make difference but I couldn't see anything that would look superior in front of the regular digital 4K, 8K or even 35mm projection cinemas

The only time I saw Urdu subtitles was in "Waar" in Cinestar

i thought they might have fixed it the next day but a friend just came back and he says still not fixed ! this is really poor of them, totally effed the imax experience of deadpool low bass and squeak sounds out of nowhere...

Well I have watched some movies there and here is what I think:

The screen size is a bit smaller as compared to 'normal' cinemas due to the location cause all the screens are on the top floor so I guess they couldn't make them any bigger.

Also because of the location, the sound volume is also a bit lower to the 'normal' standard. What I mean by that is you will get the feeling that the volume has been lowered a bit, doesn't have that big punch in most situations. The only time I heard loud proper sound there was during Interstellar where thank god they pumped it up for Hans Zimmer soundtrack.
As for the quality, it is decent. Nothing outstanding or anything but it is a decent surround setup. Some movies definitely sound better than others. They sometimes show 7.1 surround sound teaser for some movies. I guess those movies utilize that in their cinema or something, that's why they sound better I guess.

As for the projector/picture quality, it is superb. I've watched a couple of movies there and if nothing else, they all looked sharp and clear and beautiful. Their 3D quality is pretty good as well in my opinion.

you do know that IMAX follow very strict rules and regulations ... a complaint email to them might do the trick *wink* hey you didn't heard it from me :>

hahahah don't think so seal hu ga, but you can write a casual email saying i think there was some problem with back speakers is that normal or something like that, IMAX people do all their installations and setup on their own you cannot purchase the equipment and put it yourself, a IMAX certified theater means that it was configured and setup by IMAX team so maybe that's why the cinema team is reluctant in touching the setup or maybe they are not aware of the fact (most of the times they are not, projectionist dont give a damn and hall ushers are too busy doing seating to notice, even if they do they go "sanu ki" attitude)

next time talk to the manager and ask him what's wrong, maybe the speakers are damaged, tell him that if it's not fixed you will write to IMAX with complaint and see the reaction, i know if i was him i would be worried.

that's the thing, they do have those suit guys there but they are pretty lousy at their job, i once wanted to inquire about my paid membership etc that i want a refund as to they first made it paid and just after a month or so they made it free for all ! i mean wtf is that. still pissed on that.
