Depends if you CGPA is good and your extra curriculars are exceptional. You can pursue erasmundus scholarships for EU region,KGSP for korea,MEXT for Japanese universities(complete tuition+ living expenses)..Many south korean universities with international programs provide full tuition fee waiver along with living expense.

Avoid AUS,CAD because scholarships are scarce and very rare, education is a business there.

On non-scholarship basis Germany should be your prime destination followed by norway and finland..German public universities do not charge any tuition fess, just a semester contribution around 100-250 euros/year.Earning power in GE is also good, you can do part time jobs to compliment your expenses.

South Korea and Germany have lots of oppertunities provided you cross the language barrier.
Thank you for the reply. A few further queries...

What is the significance of GMAT or GRE for scholarships and admissions in universities in EU and South Korea?

What are the chances of getting a job, immigration or PR in Germany, Norway, Finland and South Korea after the completion of studies? Would you have any knowledge on that? Because every person I ask recommends me either Australia/New Zealand or Canada based on the ease of immigration there.

And how hard is it really to cross the language barrier in Germany and South Korea?

UM (uni of malaya) , it is very hard to get in as they have very little quota seats for international students , like 2% of the total admissions per intake , my self applied in UM and
never got reply from them as it is the best university of malaysia and the fees is the least so the students from different developing countires are tyring to get in . In UTM(university technologi malaysia) they have a greater quota and the fees is like 2 lacs per year for engineering so the case is similar .!!
the degree Accreditation by Malaysian board of engineers is accepted world wide and has great value ... living cost is very low , around 20-25k PKR per month dependent on individuals , part time is hard to find but alot of my friends are employed on average type of jobs .
your knowledge updated incase of malaysia
Bro any idea how much bank statement and embassy cost in applying for student visa for malaysia ? I have to apply for post grad there.

As of 2012 it is getting extremely difficult obtaining PR in Australia for international students. Also the initial investment is too much to endure, expect investing 40-50 lakh in the first year, you can do part time jobs but again its difficult to manage.I excluded aus,cad as you are short on finances.German universities most of them offer free complimentary language course during higher studies, also you live in KHI and Goethe Institute KHI is the best German language learning center in Pakistan. For international programs in English there is no language requirement only ielts but for jobs you need to speak german. For Korea as i stated before there are plenty of opportunities, many courses offered in english (idk if they offer complimentary korean courses)..Another feasible option is Malaysia, china

GMAT/GRE hold no or less value in Germany but its always a plus point..SOme korean universities have regards for gre/gmat but not required.

One final question... I have a 3 years BSc (hons) degree as it is the standard in the UK, P.S I havent done Fsc either. Would it become an issue taking an admission in GE university? Like in Pakistan where universities ONLY accept 4 years bachelors degree...

Well since discussion about Germany is going on and it didn't clarify some of the points, i would like to ask what are the Job prospects for a programmer there during/after studies, and the chances for future immigration/Permanent Residence.

well for studies in malaysia bank statement is not required, but there is a fees known as the EMGS fees that is charged by the malaysian government which includes visa , registration and government charges . Its around 1 lac in most of the universities in KL or less , our local malaysian embassy charges 110RM (4k) for the visa verification and student pass to malaysia .

and what about immigration/permanent residence ? Also can i work during studies, if so how much per week.
you can get immigration/permanent residence in around 6~7 years (that can include 4 years of PHD) so 2,3 years job after PhD can get you that and also it is very easy to earn 500 euros. You are allowed to work 120 hrs and you get minimum avg. pay of 10 euro. And this isnt an odd job, this is as a Student researcher in your own course and in your own field. so when a paper is published by PhD or on your CV you can mention this as job experience.

I didnt quite understand that 6~7 years part. Is it necessary to do a PhD of 4 years and get a job experience of 2~3 years, or do you just have to study and work anything there for that much period? Can you please elaborate? And what is cost of accommodation there? Can it be covered from part time work?

What if i don't want to do to PHD. What if i only go for Masters after bachelors from Pakistan, what are the chances of getting work visa/work permit after masters ?

no it is not necessary to do a PhD. It is just an opinion.
around 250 Euro for living expense (all included around 360 Euro).
Yes you can cover it. And even make a small saving, but a small one.

Well i can learn german and i am willing to work and study 16 hours a day.

One last questions, german universities are free or charge only a small amount compared to their counterparts in other countries so surely competition to get admission would be tough. If i don't have 3.5+ CGPA is there anything else i can do to get admission ?

Lastly if you don't mind my asking did you applied yourself or through a consultant ? If you applied through a consultant who is the best and what was the grand total (total bank statement + consultant fee + any other expenses)

it isnt about your "will", it's about getting time off from studies. Also when you can easily live in 50 hours or 60 hours a week, why will you try to sacrifice your grades for a few bucks, which will become irrelevant when you eventually get a job.

German Public unis are nearly free . i.e they charge an administrative fee ranging from 65 - 500 euro
I know people who have got admission at 2.8 CGPA and into a good uni, so that argument is invalid. 2.80 ke uper admission aram se hota hai

I applied myself, there is enough information out on internet to complete all the process yourself. THe above mentioned 1,2,3 germany link I have provided has alot of useful info in it.
I believe if a person can get atleast 2.80 CGPA, he can apply anywhere , it is not hard at all and consultants are present for those who cant do much on there own. And if anyone is planning to go to consultants, he should reconsider if he wants to even leave the comfort of Pakistan

Fair Enough. I would not also like to sacrifice grades for money.

As far as consultant are concerned i only asked about them because i don't have a very competitive CGPA(3.2) so i thought maybe i'd be better of applying through them for better chance of securing admission in a university. But now that you have clarified who in his right mind would like to pay money for something that can be obtained for free :)

I visited the 1,2,3 link and i do have one confusion. It says 8040 euros in blocking account from which you can withdraw 670 euro per month. So if i have a 2 year degree (MS) would i have to show 8040x2 euros at the embassy or euros for a single year (8040) will suffice.

Now that i think of it my whole decision rests on this factor. If it is 16000 euros then i will have to work an extra year and if it is 8000 euros then INSALLAH i can leave next year.

Some states give you resident permit for 2 years, other gives it for one year. You need to show around 8000 euro to show you can accommodate your living.
But dont worry about that. Because you will be up and saving in 2,3 months.
let me tell you another secret..you can ask your friends (you make or you already have) in Germany to transfer some money for a few weeks, show bank account and transfer that money back to them. :)

So i only need to show 8000 euros at embassy, that's a relief. It means i'll be up and running within 2 million the range i can manage.

What about which cities are best ? Should i go for universities in large cities because of increased job prospects or are small cities better ? Any advice do's and don't that you have observed.
