[SOLVED] Single GTX 980 or SLI 970 ?

I'll be gaming at 144z (1080p) so i need a good GPU which can deliver 100+ frames. My main concern would be getting high frames on bf4. I'm inclined towards 980 as it's a single card, gives around 90+ fps and i can run it on my current 600w psu. Your advice is needed if 980 is the right choice ?

Already went through most of the articles, Well i might go with gtx 980 as i'm limited on budget. I'll look around PG market, btw is there any good amd card with same price tag but better performance?

Why not go with the 980Ti?

The 970 goes for 300 to 350 USD.
The 980Ti goes for 650 USD.

The performance difference is really large between these two cards. Also SLIing 2 cards won't give increased VRAM. But buying a card with larger VRAM would be very beneficial for gaming at higher resolutions. Games are already creeping above the 4 GB VRAM limit. It is only a matter of time before they require 6 GB or so, which the SLI'd GTX 970's 3.5 GB VRAM cannot match.

ops.. why wait? ye abhi to aya hy ... do u want something better than 980 Ti?
in such way you will never buy a GPU .... bcoz when next GPU comes, you might think to wait for the next one
there is nothing future proof .. so enjoy what is available

980 Ti is recommended only if you can manage your Budget for it. Extreme Class Graphics card packed with 6GB future proofing. next 3 years at ease.

My current card satisfies the need for 1080p gaming at 60fps, Like i said earlier, i want to shift to 144hz and would be needing a card which can provide me decent enough frames. Is 980ti a good choice for 144hz at 1080p?

i wont hesitate to recommed you 980Ti. its a complete package for most platforms. Vram is 6 gb will exclude any limitation in high memory consumption games. single card solution is alright.

The only Competitor of 980 Ti is FuryX which is not in market and it has few issues as well. only Worthy GPU right now is 980 Ti good availability and price/Performance

Single card is a a lot better then the dual setup (kinda off not worth it), if possible get the 980Ti
