guys i have 120 ms ping on speedtest.net ptcl server.the ptcl guy said this is fine ping but i need it around 40-50ms.is this ping fine.what do i tell the ptcl cares guy as the 1218 ones are useless to get my ping to 40-50ms.i know it can reach 40-50ms as when i got my new connection 2 years ago i had 40-50ms pings.it was written on a forum to ask the ptcl guys to change my internet type to fast mode.any suggestions for this.i also have peak time issue where ping go up even more and download speed gets really low but i guess that issue everyone is getting at the moment.

My downstream/upstream is 2047/509 if i say to ptcl guys that change it 2560/768 will they change?

My 2mb student package automatically converted to 4mb yesterday without any prior notice. Anybody else having such upgradation?

Internet has gone to shit today, was working fine in the morning but right now its absolutely terrible. Anybody else facing a problem in Karachi? Is there any maintenance going on?

I got my old ZTE modem replaced today with the new PTCL modem and when I connected to the internet for the first time windows+AV firewalls both detected it as a new 'Home' connection.Whenever the modem got replaced before the old Realtek connection registered in the firewalls worked on the new modem.
Does the new PTCL modem register as a 'Home' connection when it is connected for the first time ? Since I didn't have to install any new Realtek software why are the firewalls registering it as a new connection ?

Has been bad since a few days but has gotten worse since yesterday. Averaging 40kbs.

Hi, i have a 4mb connection, but from last 3 Days from 5pm to 6am, i get really high pings, timeout on Remote Desktop Server (RDP) from NL, DE, FR. Anyone facing same issues ??

I'm having the same issue along with couple of people I know.
Pings suddenly escalate to around 600ms to Europe and 500ms to Asia.I noticed that my IP address and gateway are completely different, 182. for the IP and 203. for the gateway.

why do i have so high ping.is everyone having this kind of ping nowadays or is it only me.this test is out of peak time and it reaches 200+ in peak time.

Ok few mins ago my internet got disconnected and auto reconnected and i got ip starting with 39.xx.xx.xx now i have low ping everything normal, previously i had IP starting from 182, which is shit damn slow ..

Now tmrw at 5pm i get again disconnect then i have same 182 ip and same issues continues .. :/
