If these details are to be believed (and they're a little too specific to be doubted, at this point) then the Resistance 2 special edition will be well worth the price for any fan of the franchise.

The price, which is probably the most likely detail of the bunch to be changed down the line, is set at $79.99. For this, you'll get a bonus DVD with a behind the scenes documentary, video commentary by Insomniac and a "Twisted History" chronology video. You'll also nab yourself an exclusive multiplayer character skin, a double-sided Resistance art book and a sneak peek at the upcoming Resistance novel, "The Gathering Storm." Wait, there's an upcoming Resistance novel?

Finally, the package is rounded out with a five and a half inch tall Chimera Hybrid action figure. With a Bullseye, naturally. That's quite a lot of swag, but is it worth the extra 30 dollars?

It is gonna cost like.......................6000 rupees man !! But it is totally worth it cause look at what they are including with the whole disc ! Plus a novel and an action figurine !!

The box art itself still hasn’t been shown on Amazon (but it should come soon, as the IGN voting for the boxart earlier this week is already over for the US). The one below is simply of the three candidates (and the obvious favorite).

But until now, we haven’t really known what was going to be the in CE edition of the game. Amazon’s got the lowdown on what will come for your $80.

Like a lot of CE versions of games these days, Resistance 2 will come with a bonus disc with behind-the-scenes footage, video commentary from Insomniac themselves, and a video dubbed “Twisted History” chronology video.

Of course, there’s more. It also comes with an exclusive multiplayer skin (HVAP Wraith), a double-sided art book ‘covering a war-torn America from two unique perspectives’, and even a sneak peek at the soon-to-happen Resistance novel “The Gathering Storm.” Yeah, they’re doing one too.

Finally (yes, there’s STILL more), a 5.5″ figurine of a Chimera Hybrid will come with the package (holding a Bullseye).

no it's not. the action figure would cost about 15 dollars? another fifteen for a crap novel?

for $60, you get only the game in plain... but for just another $20, you get soooo much more stuff, including the 5.5" chimera model !! .. definitely worth it !

nearly all ps3 games deserve a sticky....i mean..MGS4, lil big planet, Resistance 2, killzone 2, resident evil 5, GT5, GTA4,MOTORSTORM...THERE ARE SOOO MANY..
