There were a couple of new mechanics introduced in the DLC, words which can disintegrate to items plus the AI seemed to have improved. So definitely the sequel will be a progression in story and gameplay.

Give the game a few more guns, bit more ammo and for gods sake populate the town with a bit more variety of people for the Darkness to take over ... and Id be borrowing an X360 for this!

It was the mechanics that were lacking and obviously the strong points of Alan Wake were in its narrative ... which were not boring

Ofcourse its my opinion, as much as Alan Wake being a 'killer' exlcusive is Hacks :p
Donno man, after ME2 going to Sony's side, Alan Wake COULD be dubbed one of the killer exclusives. No? :p

LOL right. Says the guy who thinks Square-Enix's new exclusive title is badass (lmao)
That's hitting under the belt.

Right on the "Polka Dotted Undies" (lmao)

Reach IS. Gears 3 IS (sort of :p). Not Alan Wake. Its not a 'must play' title I'm afraid. And thats just me ofcourse :p

I want Alan Wake on PC, merely to appreciate the tech behind it. X360 doesn't do it justice.

I donno dude, graphics weren't the highlight of Alan Wake. It was the direction, narration and mood it managed to pull off. Of course, not denying it'd be even better on PC but still, this ain't no Crysis.

You missed the point. I'm simply talking about the tech appreciation. Its not like I enjoyed all those other aspects as much as you so why would I want to play it again on PC then?

It ain't no Crysis but every game doesn't have to be graphically Crysis to blow away your minds. If Alan Wake makes it to the PC look at the overall package, better textures and good storyline but i actually didn't mind compromising on the graphics for a great story and game.

Phil should be held responsible for this shitfest too, just like Sarah, but it's highly likely that these decisions are coming from Satya. And this isn't even the end of it. More closures are coming.

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios. I just want to say a giant F*** Y**! to Microsoft. THEY'VE F***ED UP BIG TIME this time.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
