Quake

Please dont me recommend me sci-fi tech games, I hate those. I like violence type shooters.

Batman Arkham series
Farcry 3 (FPS and violent with lots of things to do in completely open world)
Orcs must die series (FPS with TD elements and did i mention it's really funny)

for a change try Fps Rpg hybrids like Rage and borderlands you just might like them if you are into wasteland settings that is.

and give condemned criminal origins a try as well more of a first person Melee than a shooter and makes fighting more about timing and patience.if you are looking for a game with great atmosphere, you might just like it.
