SEHWAN: A suspected suicide bomber blew himself up near the gate of the shrine of Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan on Thursday, martyring at least 30 people and injuring dozens of others, officials said. A medical superintendent at Sehwan hospital confirmed that at least people had been killed in the explosion.
Police officials in Sehwan said the blast took place inside the shrine's complex.
"The loud explosion took place inside the complex of the shrine near the gate," Assistant Superintendent of Police Rashid told Geo News.
More than 50 people were reported injured, with dozens of casualties feared in the powerful explosion.
Large crowds of people, from different parts of the province, were gathered at the shrine when the blast took place.
Devotees throng to the shrine of the revered Sufi saint every Thursday to participate in a dhamaal and prayers.
According to reports, the explosion took place after devotees had gathered inside the premises of the shrine.
What is happening...How come these TTP are active again ?
