This might be a little long but sorry for that. I am very much enraged and furious.

No doubt sexual violence is a crime, no matter who commits it or wherever it happens. Such an assault in some cases may not leave any signs, but it's still a crime which is not acceptable in any civilized society. This is however a fact that this type of crime takes place in every culture, every society and every corner of this world. Some of them are reported, some of them get media attention and many remain under the carpet.

Recently, in a similar criminal case, a little girl was assaulted in Lahore. Obviously, every person, male or female, has condemned this brutal act and shown their sympathies with the affected girl and her family. The role of media however was very much annoying and condemnable. Some senseless so called media persons / journalists disclosed original name and identity of the victim. They shown her face on media. They even narrated history of her family. They immediately too copies of FIR just to waive the paper on the screen of their channel. Many stupid reporters were trying hard to approach her mother, father, and grand parents and asking about their views and feelings. In short, they destroyed family and social life of the little angle and of her whole family. Can she live a life of normal girl / female after so much advertisement ? Can his father OR brother face the society like normal people? No doubt it was a big crime committed with her by the unknown culprits but why media just for sake of rating has exploited her innocence. Who will clean these spots of her face attributed to stupid media. I believe that the rapists and media both are equally responsible for ruining life of the innocent.

I am afraid if someday a rape happens on a roadside, our stupid reporters and so called media men instead of interrupting and stopping the rapists will rather start a live coverage on their rating-hungry channels. What a shame it is. Why media is so selfish and non-sense. Why cannot they follow international norms to secure privacy and private life of the victims?

Unfortunately that is how our media is operating... I mean this is just one of the things, they're applying the same to everything. Question is, who has the balls to strike down on the media and sustain the pressure. It has been roughly ~1-2 yrs that I have stopped watching news channels because of this idiotic, non-sensitive behavior.

now days news is replaced by Entertainment, people love to watch same news again and again which is portrayed by media channel by putting different songs or editing into it. They are feeding people what they wanted to see that's simple, they are less bothered about the content all they want is just rating.

If humanity had a line, we are living way below it. Anyone who wants to know the definition of hypocrisy just have to look at our society. We will blame america for all the wrong doings, then we will quote some ayah and ahadiths and explain for hours how blessed the muslims in general and Pakistanis in particular are.
At the time when our streets are filled with pedophiles and rapist at large. They can rape or sodomize anyone; age doesn't matter. Yet we have the nerves to point fingers at media as to how they presented this report.

I remember the day when there was a fire incident in State Life Building in Karachi and few people were climbing with pipes on outer side to save their lives. Every channel was making a video of the scene from different angle yet those media men did not bother to step forward and try to catch the falling guys. After having lost the grip, the innocent guys eventually fell down on the earth and every moment was captured by the cameras of our tv channels. So said that none of them tried to save them.

I remember the recent Sikandar Case in the Capital. Every channel had deputed its full fledged team to ensure live coverage. Even one channel was showing 4 live scenes at a time meaning thereby they have had engaged 4 of their camera's for the coverage. They have been hindering and delaying the steps which police wanted to take rather they kept on accessing the subject for interview just in the blind race of rating. Surprisingly, the anchors of those channel kept on saying themselves that its very unruly, illicit and non-sense to continue live coverage but still they kept on doing it until it was finished and people went to their homes.

This rape case has further exposed their senselessness. Instead of extending help and support, they scandalize the little girl and her family. There is so much room to improve journalism and mediamanshp in Pakistan but these guys are so proud that they would never listen to people. They will do whatever they want no matter how heinous an damaging their performance and attitude is. Whenever someone shows them their real face, they declare him / her a hypocrite and traitor.

yeah... media is a great evil of modern times, made specifically to be a bad influence(never did anything really good as even the good things are questionable). But as the girl is so young, she won't really be affected by this, the parents and family might be for now... but as she grows older, her face would change and people would have forgotten that by then and even if it was not the case then a simple change of location(as in city or province or even country) is not that hard nowadays.

Media needs a leash. This is not the first time they are doing it. It's daily activity and personally I call our media , "Social Rapists".

To some extent your argument is valid but i wouldn't go as far as branding media an evil.
Our Institutions will move in circles as long as this news is alive. Once it is out of sight, the whole incident will be out of minds. Media is at its infancy, there may be "a lot" to improve, especially the trend of "yellow journalism" which your entire post is pointing at. However, until and unless the perpetrators are arrested and burned, the news must be kept alive, so our naive nation will remember the face it carries down deep inside.

Almost all of the Pakistani media is full of morons who are just violating personal space of the victims:instead of finding and portraying criminals.

You have a better point, If there will be no news alive the case will just rest or be forgotten like every other innocent killed or raped in the country. Although media should hide the real personal stuff and or blur the face of the victim for sure.

media is unstoppable in pakistan. In USA and all other countries many things happen unusual and unkind but their media is under controlled to show all those things.I remember 2-3 months back when a men fired on school children and killed many children in school but only 1 picture of incident was shown in the media and no media reporter was sitting in those children's houses.but our media is just BULL****. i can't forget sikandaar scene when the media jammed every other transmission and was focusing on 1 man like its WW3
