This might not receive Jelly Bean, but it has ICS.
If you are fond of music that should easily fit in the phone, games are fine, camera pictures are like 200-500kb only. So 4GB is more than enough.

Don't get Xperia u. 4GB is too less. Normally, a song uses up 5-13 mb. So if you have like 10 songs, min 50 mb will be taken by it. Then pictures, if it captures HD pictures, they would take up 700- 1500 kb so for like 1000 pictures, 700 mb. And if you play HD games, a good 3D HD game like Asphalt or NOVA atleast takes 1.5 GB each so not a good choice.
Go for a phone which has ample amount of internal storage or a choice for micro ad storage.

Take my advice, and find a used Nexus S, its the best phone for this range... you get all the update instantly and there is a huge development section on xdadevelopers... trust me you wont regret it...

I appreciate ur advice ... but Nexus S new (Dabba pack) is costing around 18k from local market without warranty PLUS it is refurbished one ..
Dont get refurbished nexus S I used one yesterday and there were 2 problems with it.
The back cover is not original so you wont get NFC functionality. The back cover also made the power button harder to press than it normally is. And who knows if the battery is original or not, it did NOT look the same as the original battery in my nexus S.

Lumia 710 if you are into WP7 but it won't get WP8 update and limited amount of apps + games.
Xperia Ray is much better than desire c. Do a comparison on gsmarena and see for yourself.
