PTCL to charge Rs. 5000/- if download goes above 300GB limit- from 1MB to 8MB package

PTCL would charge Rs. 5,000/- more if you cross the download limit of 300GB in a month. This restriction applies to packages from 1MB to 8MB.

Discussed here early, but I am kind of 'OK' with this cause this means (99% sure) that the other (50 GB) limit is removed .

But at least they should give us the ability to check our usage. There should be a reliable PTCL site from where we could check our usage and adjust our usage accordingly.​

My friend in PTCL was showing me the logs & you know like 95%+ people don't even cross the 50GB mark. We are the strict minority here in bandwidth consumption & you know what happens to minorities around here

and downloading above 300gb on a 4mb connection is not hard at all

I crossed the 200 GB mark in some months. When Skyrim/BF3 were out, I downloaded 206 GB in that month.

That month was hot, Arkham City, and other hot games released and they were downloaded. 206 won't be reached that easily now that hot games' release in many months away. Still Supernatural seasons are always on download here, so maybe that will push my connection to 206 GB limit.

I have 2 separate 4 Mbps connections .. so 30GB per day per connection ...

yes it does....but the main thing is ....how will u download 300gb's with a 1mb connection
