Yes I called them, told them to shift me to 8MB with that new offer, they said okay, told me all the details and it was done.

Today i called to revert myself back to 8mb ..... now its 4Mb and i am lost in stoneage.....once again :-(

as for the 8mb promo goes, well i was already keeping my downloads capped at 4mb to 200kb etc for movies, 4mb is enough even for me, so 8mb was just a jolt for few weeks with good speed downloading like a baws which freaking went heavy on me, just like u i requested to be shifted to the promo package but the stupid rep on the line shifted me to an 8mb capped package, which i got to know when my bill of november came in january and thus leaving me nothing but to make round trips to my nearest ptcl franchise just yesterday i came back requesting my decembers charges come off looks like i may be going next month too to waive off januarys incorrect charges, stupid ppl man really

Oh yeah I heard that happened to a few people, if you called them, there should be a record of your call where they explained all the details to you, tell them to listen to that.
As for me, my bill came as well, only 2100rs for now

And i contacted the live chat guys, they said torrent downloading and uploading is counted in the bandwidth, ive used 14.3GB apparently. How do you guys know?

checked with live chat. Used 3.2GB this month. I have downloaded at least 3 times that much since the start of Feb. Either torrents arnt counting properly or maybe their statistics update very slow. Still I rather not risk going over the limit, cant be too careful with ptcl.

edit: wow, got an auto email of my chat session. Useful to keep them

Just came across this post. I'd like to share some information. I called ptcl on 30th jan to revert back to my 4mb package and asked the representative that about the promo the guy said "The promo has been extended to 31st april" which was good to know. Will wait for the bill to show up and hopefully not cause any heartache. Any news with you people?

Yesterday I called PTCL help line to downgrade my package, he said nothing about this..

Also He said that to downgrade you need to pay Rs1500 and its the policy of PTCL :S, can anyone confirm this?

reverted back to 4mb from 8mb promo and the CSR never told me abt these 1500 charges...not mentioned on their website as well

Download a network bandwidth monitoring software called NetworkX. Start monitoring your bandwidth at the beginning of each month. After downloading for 10-15 days, ask for bandwidth consumed at PTCL Website (from Live Agent).

You'll notice yourself that they aren't counting P2P traffic.

I installed a software "bandwidth monitor" and it shows from the start of the month till now, i have consumed around 300+gb of data and when i asked from the ptcl csr, they replied that i hv used 150 gb yet out of 200gb on a 8mb capped package

Im using same software and im well over 200gb but csr told me i have used only 70gb.
