PS4! Why a sudden increase in price?

I wanted to buy a PS4, hoping for the price to be around 26-27k. But it turns out no one is selling it for less than 35k. I remember it used to cost around 29-30k in 2017. Why did the price increased so much? (Is it because of dollar?)

Also CFW 5.05 of Ps4 came out few weeks ago, So prices re high Allover in Pakistan and worldwide specially for FW <5.05

there are two three factors for this

dollar price is high its now around 124rs damn...

the summer holidays begain, kids are out buying ps4s with their parents so you know local shopkeepers tend to raise prices usually during summer holidays

than there is the ps4 hack that came out...

ps4 slim was around 26k when it first launched i remember a friend bought it for 26k in 2016 but slim replaced the original ps4 since then the price keeps on increasing i bought 1tb for 38k in feburary

It's mainly about the $ increase, yes they will increase price of older stock as well, that's how business is done. When large stores like Metro etc. can increase price of products (retail price being higher than printed price of older stock, personally happened to me) then why do we blame the local shopkeepers? Contrary to the popular belief not all of them are rip offs, some are merely trying to earn a living.

You can convert $ 300 to local currency and will find the PS4 priced relatively competitively, do keep in mind that PS4 is majorly imported through gray channels, you can check PS4 price with Sony outlet to find the actual local price (if it's being officially sold here).

Dollar has increased from 107 to 125 rupees . Expect it to touch 150 rupees by end of this year

Well I just surfed the market, the prices again increased to 44-45k. That is just mindboggling. I think this increase is due to dollar increase because my brother searched in australia as well. And there the prices are around 35-36k. Dayum
