why u updated to kmeaw?I upgraded today with kmeaw fw and my 80 gb ps3 is great in performance a few hangups but still lots of free copies are worth it!

there are no report for bricking with latest firmwares.... they are alot stable and safe.... but do that in mind that 60 gb model have ylod issues.... be prepared for that...
if u are going to play most of the games on cfw i suggest u to jb new console.....

risk factor is same for both firmwares
1: no bricking except with the waninkoko v1 CFW on certain models, you can easily upgrade the kmeaw CFW
2: obviously that is the best choice if you have the dough

u r correct but kmeaw has a few advantages such as signed/unsigned pkgs

hey bro, when u jailbreak your PS3 for the first time some files are created and some r deleted which sony can detect via the rootkit it implemented in 3.56.
but there r no bans as of yet
there are only 2 types of bans i have ever heard
1: temporaray bans from home for pervert like behavior
2: black ops perma bans for cheaters
If your PS3 has been jailbreaked
The green folders are the only ones a legit PS3 should have, the red ones are because of JB
(These folders CAN'T be deleted)
Also The JB PS3 is missing the PSX/PS2 in the XMB and the legit one is not

don't know why your manager is not running, you are the first one who faced this issue, i guess. When you run gaia, it does not load and comes to xmb ? OR it runs and when you launch any game then it comes to xmb???? Which cfw you have installed?

slim 250 gb for cfw, you can save a lot of games plus it does not have any ylod or any such kind of issues......keep your 60 gb for online gaming. you don't have to save games in it..
you can also buy fat for cfw and an external hard disk but internal hard disk is usually faster than external hard disk so slim 250 gb would do the best.....just an opinion....

I followed directions here but when installing gia manager packages it gives error "No Installation package found".Three simple steps to hack your ps3
1- Update to OFW 3.55 ....

FIRMWARE INSTALLATION
1- To install firmware, in a usb create a folder named "PS3" and inside this folder create another folder named "UPDATE".
2- Place the firmware file in this folder ( Note: file name must always be ps3updat.pup, whether it's OFW or CFW. If file name is different, change it to ps3updat.pup)
3- Connect usb with ps3 and go to system update, there ps3 will ask you to update via internet or storage media, select storage media.
4- Ps3 will detect your firmware and will ask for you permission to install, say yes .. That's all...
Both OFW and CFW will be installed in the same manner...
After OFW ---> CFW, back up manager should be installed.
BACKUP MANAGER INSTALLATION
1- To install back up manager, download backup manager above mentioned link
2-Place back up manager file in a usb. (File name usually is like
"abcmanager.pkg").
3- Connect usb with ps3, under game menu, go to install package file and select backup manager file. It will hardly take few seconds to install back up manager.
Hope this is informative... I followed the same procedure and enjoying latest games
there are three files 1- games.pkg 2- gamez.pkg and 3-bdrip.pkg. You have to place either games or gamez.pkg in your usb drive and then connect it with ps3 then go to install package files, there you will see these file click and let ps3 to install.. that's all.. if you followed these steps and could not make it, then file might be corrupted..
