once the hack is out its out man ! there are many skilled hackers out there +there are tons of titles to play on the ps3 once u jailbreak it afterwards u can un-jb it and go online etc ! if u want to tho

I am with you mani but you are wrong at one place if you JB ur ps3 there is also no turning back my friend you probably get banned on psn incase you unJB it and try online stuff.

people who tried psjb will probably have to try going online to find out if they can get banned or not.
but here's something i'd try to do if i ever need to say goodbye to psjb and enjoy online games.

- take out ps3's hdd, reformat it with ntfs or fat32, put it back in the ps3, let the ps3 reformat it for its own use (this way you get rid of all foot prints of the psjb on hdd)
- now if none of the ps3's internal memory chips have any evidence left (hopefully not), then you can just update the machine to the latest firmware.
- with most of the evidence gone, you're on your one-way ticket to online game etc

if you still get banned after this much crime-scene cleaning, it just means sony went out of its way to punish ppl who tried the hack, or .. that luck is not on your side ;p but more chances are you will get away with it.

i haven't yet tried copying games from internal hard drive with big files (over 4 GB) through open manager, i am curious about 1 thing... how can the open manager join the split file as the destination drive has to be fat32, which cant handle over 4gb..
e.g. I have Red Dead Redemption in my internal hd, which has 1 big file (approx 4.8gb), if i copy it to my external fat32 HD, how would it split and re-join the files ?

and i want hotfile or rapidshare links to Enslaved [PS3]

one more thing.. does prince of persia work?? anybody tried it for real.. rather than consulting psjb.com or whatever

Man that, but i want a 100% no-cd OM for all games ;p it'll take time though, hopefully we'll see overhauled BM's in next few months.. much different from the current dozens of variations of OM that each have just diferent background and icons ;p and nothing unique. heh

Mani come on sync the trophies and then format your drive , make a backup of all your game saves and everything !!

u can really backup trophies and if u go sync ur trophies with jb on, u'll get banned instantly or so ! i guess

yeh if u have jb ur ps3 , definately when u go sync u will get an instant ban , and ur trophy count wont move on further !

@mani: its just a speculation and everyone is having their own theory to get a safe passage as rebel said, for me I have made a bit different way to come out of that problem.

I had my old 40GB HDD which I took out before using JB and now its safe and sound sitting idle in my locker, than I bought a new 500GB HDD and used it with my ps3 JB. now once I will decide to go back online I will take out my 500GB HDD and put back my 40GB I think that would be even more safer than formatting it.

I read it sumwhr tht the ps3 formats every HD whn plugged in after removing..still leave us with formatting

sony has encypted the eboot.bin of new games with an encyption key which is in fm3.42+, i read sumwhr JB scene is trying to decrypt the eboot which in theory wud make the game work on 3.41 (i hv my fingers crossed)

Apparently, someone who had access to the certain keys for the PS3 firmware is in contact with PS Jailbreak team. When i meant someone, it has the possibilities of someone who have worked for Sony or had left the company for several obvious reasons. Well, if that someone has an access to the master key, then the PS Jailbreak team is really going to owned Sony this time. In fact, the Japanese corporation almost have no chance to fight back the PS3 Jailbreak scene. If you want to read more, here is my source which has been posted by Falcon80:

No one knows who they are. If they had no more tricks up their sleeve why would they even bother hanging around?

The rumors are that they do get someone either from Sony or that had left Sony that possibly had access to certain keys. If its the master key then Sony are f**ked. Thats probably why they are saying “firmwares” becuase the update will probably work on future firmware version past 3.5……fingers crossed yall!
