I made a prediction in initial pages of this thread that some one from PG will start that service soon but unfortunately i am bit disappointed so far specially from Karachi geek squad I had to download 13-14 games all alone to put them in my HDD. I am just waiting for some sufficient amount so I can buy my 500GB HDD and dump all my downloaded games in there once an for all.

Edit: GOW III game size is 40.2GB so no way in hell you can put that game into your 40GB HDD

depends on version , i have a 36.1 Gb rip . its jap/chiness ver usa ver is bigger. same case with some other games too (missed the quote in last post)

For the cost, check laptop SATA hard disk prices, adjust according to your pocket 320gb/500gb.
You need an external USB to back up PS3 HDD, and a "firmware 3.41" on the USB HDD.
Check web forums for how to use open manager for copying games.

download filezilla a install on pc .
now run blackb0x ftp 1.1 in ps3 it will tell u ip of ps3 dont press any button while running blackb0x ftp 1.1 . just put ip of ps3 in filezilla and press connect . now u can see ps3 folders so copy game and enjoy

No I'm not asking about copying. I'm asking that how to connect pc & ps3 together on same network? I have shiro modem (it's not a router). Or it's saying that I have to connect ps3 with pc then how?

what if all new and upcoming games reqiure the customary 3.42 update..and as sony has disabled the jailbreak and it cant be properly removed as of yet, will that mean the hacked ps3s are only good for games uptil *possbily* Medal of Honor? and for games after that it will be useless?

Few things
firmware 3.41+ are not invulnerable, it is taking time but rest assured some people have made headway even on 3.5.
Another approach that me and some others are adopting is having a dual NAND, like XBOX360 cygnos (if i remember the name right)
Another approach that richdevX is using is explore how to enter factory mode, (I m sure you would have read about it)
And you know why people are not sharing their progress on daily basis....
There is however an easier way that could be tried, is to rip upcoming games to hard drive, remove all update folders from them both apparent and hidden, there is a 50% chance the game will run. Still better than zero.

noman3000 did u have any external hdd . because i dont think without router its possible to connect ps3 and pc . may be using 2 lan card in pc will help i am not sure . from external hdd u can easily transfer game in ps3 .
