Any body tried portable air conditioners?

I went to jackson market today and found out that there are two types of portable ACs.

One is called mobile AC and looked like this

The other is called vertical AC and looked like this.

The 2nd one need to be put at a window so that it may blow hot air outside the room, whereas the first one is completely portable.

I saw an add at OLX about those vertical AC and called the guy he says that he owns a warehouse at gaddani and these ACs are stocked there, while he provides home service and delivers AC at doorstep with 110w to 220w converter with 7 days check warranty and 6 months compressor warranty.

So should I proceed or reconsider.

I started a thread regarding these last year. When i found out about these, i instantly fell in love! Did a lot of research, read a lot a of reviews and came to the conclusion that these are one's best bet if they wish to cool a small room or just simply get some cooling right in the face while gaming or whatever.

I looked around in local shops here in Multan but none of the shopkeepers even understood what kind of AC i was referring to. Searched a lot online for these on Pakistani online stores. Found a store which was selling these too but didnt go on to buy the AC because i wanted to go with a reliable brand like LG. Wrote several emails to homeshopping to get me one of these. One day they called me and said these aren't good enough for the temperatures we face here in Pak. That was all BS. These ACs are great! And i'd buy one instantly if i got an LG branded one on warranty!

Keep me updated if you find anything. You might want to look up that old thread of mine too. Has some usefull info. Also, the AC in the first picture, that also needs an outlet to blow out the hot air. Youtube has loads of videos regarding how to set these up, reviews and shit.

Hyder, i have bought a few for my friends and family members. They work well for a room around 10 x 10 . Worth to buy it, but it is not long durational item. It will max last for 2 years.
They are called room chillers, other words " Russian Ac "
