legends of flight and under the sea are nice imax edition variants ---

watch Movie from iMax (not documentry) "Zac's Flight Dream"

its very very detailed movie in term of depth n 3D view angles.i found it best in all.

Just watched Zacs flight dream. Great depth and 3d.

Personally, all IMAX documentaries have the BEST 3d animations and footages!

sony is the most expensive - and only thee tv will set u back nearly rs.150,000/- and thats not even including any thing with it-- add those costs and u take it above rs.220,000/- to expensive if u ask me .

The info in the OP is outdated. My 40 inch EX720 Sony 3DTV came for less than the amount stated, and it included a skype camera, 3 bluray movies, and 2 pairs of glasses.

A similar offer is available for the 32 inch model.

Advise needed

Hey Guys!


I posted this on some other website seeking advise.
So i am also posting this on PG to seek your expert advise.


I am replacing my Sony V-series 550A 52" LCD with a 3D LED.
I think my options are Samsung Smart TV (55" , 59" and 64") , Sony and LG cinema 3D(Passive Display).


Which one should i get?
The main factor here is Active vs. Passive display of Samsung and LG, Which one do you guys suggest and why?


I have heard that the Passive displays, when used in 3D mode, reduces the resolution to half, Is this true?


People who are using the Samsung Smart 3DTV and LG cinema3D are especially Welcome to share their reviews.


P.s This TV would be used in my Home Theatre Room.

I need advise for a suitable replacement to a Sony S-series 550A 40" (which is currently installed in a bedroom).
I have planned either a Samsung LED TV 40" (PKR 89,000) or either Samsung Plasma 3DTV 43" (PKR 69,900).
This TV would installed in a Bedroom, so 3D is optional, but seeing the price of the 3D PDP- its a tempting offer.
Recently i have learnt that the PDP-3DTV give 720p resolution while in 3D mode, Is this true?


Hows the performance of the PDP 3DTV? Is it any good?

if u can afford it go for the samsung 3d led tv model which is better , in the sence that it will give u true native 1080p vs 720p of plasma - now plasma also has 1080p in samsung series 6 which in general is more expensive but offers good dept of field in colors as well as color tone etc.

i have used a wide variety of lcd / led / and plasma tv , best of which according to me was the led and then the plasma , why plasma , well the new ones have a very fast refresh rate 600hrtz specially for the new models .

fluid motion in fast action movies etc , sports channels .

the new 3d led tv are also very good -- econimical specially if u get via a promo , Pls note 3d tv here is in infant stage -- few titles most of which do not offer that good 3d effects ..

they are exceptins .. best 3d tv movie is AVATAR which has over the top 3d effects - animaitons also have excellent effects - again depends on the making of the 3d effects


@ ct -- the prices might have changed as i said -- nothing remains the same -- i will try to update them but its a hassle as there is no online forum where decent figures are quoted for these.


sony / samsung / lg / toshiba / panasonic ---- i would recommend soem thing which can be bought locally and has local warranty --geting foreign brand is good -- but again a risk factor if there is no warranty .

personally i am loving the 51inch plasma i got - though it is 720p -- but it shoes 1080p movies -- strange ...loll .....it does not convert it or some thing it actually does show it in 1080p -- how is beyond me .

well i did not buy .!!! the blu ray player and the glasses which were included in the promotion hence they reduced 38000 of the price brother -- hence i got the 51inch 3d tv for 118000/- , my dad got the entire package hence it costed him rs.156000 some thing .

in the 1st i was going to get the 40 inch package which was costing rs.164000/- .........but i guess size matter to me rather then the over all led shabang ..so i got the 51inch plasma 3d tv ..
