so arent the current third party hdmi's 1.4 ? or are they lower ? for playing full sbs 3d movies

actually u cant play a full sbs movie on any 3d tv -- due to the extreme res involved ---1920*1080 * 2
this is just not possible for the tv to handle - hence they dont play it

i am still reading on this a work around but any movie is either down sampled to the tv res - if even its a 1920-1080 3d tv then still it wont play these sbs movies

as for 1.4 hdmi - i am not sure if it can handle the bandwidth but as i said i am new here and reading on this --
half sbs so far plays well -

all movies dont have that good 3d effects some are very nice

^^^ see thats what i was talking to u about earlier stating that full HD 1080P which is 1920x1080 available IN 3DTVS ! in 3D MODE

2d ofcourse can get played at full hd 1080p but not IN 3D ! the max is 720p

As for the 1.4, the high quality 1.3 ones work fine for a short distance but cant handle it properly on longer ones...

so avatar even on bluray format will be played in 720p half sbs---

so what the hell is this full sbs crap -- man !!! that means these current gen 3d tv can not play the content .

^^ thats what i said before, the 3d till now isnt fully optimized... u know the thing with bringing 1mp mobile phone cameras first, than 2mp than 4mp than so on and now we even have 12mp cameras if im not mistaken in mobiles hehe

Yes, 3d technology will take time to mature, but thats how everything works. From computers to mobile phones to the first of the TVs. We'll be able to play FULL SBS optimally soon in the newer TVs though.

And Nasir bhai, I was talking about the downloads. Usually its labelled HALF SBS to those which are converted and FULL SBS to those which are ripped so there is a difference of quality.

u didnt get my point ! i was saying slowly they would bring better features to their LED tvs etc FOR 3D and stuff, just like 480p came than 720p lcds etc than finally FULL HD 1080P ETC

Just so you guys know, youtube now supports SBS 3d. 3D TVs with Youtube support can play it directly off the internet. Just tried it.

these 3d displays are not meant for a low budget guy like me.
well anyone here can tell me a low cost but a good quality display? off-course 3d not that ordinary ones.

I think currently the cheapest 3D TV available in Pakistan is Samsung 43D490. You'll have to get 3D PC monitors if you want to buy something even cheaper.

i was personally thinking of going with the ex720 bravia series... its for 138k with 3 bluray 3d movies, 2 glasses and a skype camera plus ITS SONY also i heard that the lag while playing games on sony is less than compared to samsungs model u quoted above bro...

the samsung model comes with 1 megamind bluray 3d movie and 2 glasses and for 133k or 134k i think

15 days befor i bought (world 1st glassless) Mobile.its LG optimus 3D.way way better then HTC Evo.

n also got my 3D tv n experienced on best 3D game last night (uncharted 3)
its plasma 43" 3D Display.n wana say thanx to burhan bhai,which help me to buy 3D tv n its provide me many usefull 3d stuff.
