well im getting it soon INSHALLAH but i think there way more room for improvement ANYBODY CAN SEE it, right now 3d is at its start ! it would take another few years to fully grasp it etc and make it more prominent

Btw, Mani, I've got a handfull of 3d BDs too. Like around 25 movies + documentaries etc on digital copy. Let me know if you need the stuff.

yeah some of the docs are nice -- though i liked how to train your draon in 3d and cloudy and chance of meat balls was good as wel .

Yeah it was nice. Mostly animated stuff is in 3d. USUALLY. There's a documentary on airplanes that is REALLY good! A must watch if you have remotely any liking for air planes IMO. Theres a movie called Cats and Dogs and the revenge of kitty galore or something. It was nice in 3d too.

Btw, theres a tracker called 3dtorrents.org. I've got an invite if you can maintain a good ratio (i currently have 0.04 lol). Its a pain in the ass to seed over there. Similar to bit-gamer

why get rid of the old lcd / or some thing -- if i am not wrong the samsung offer is not closed -- do check at ur end .
will post some pictures of screen with different games on lets see how it turn out .

If you have downloaded a legit FULL SBS movie, it will be the same as with ahmad. Avoid HALF SBS as those are the movies converted to play on 3d tvs and are thus not so extraordinary.

Sadly, yes. There are full sbs ones too, but they are very few as the full sbs ones are very few that actually released. Half sbs works okay for things with depth built when capturing but ofcourse not as good as the one with a 3d camera which has two lens at human eye distance capturing two films and merging them. Yes, the two FULL SBS images have slight distance in them thus they are AWESOME 3ds... But halfsbs is okay too. Not THAT bad, but not THE best..

btw, the difference b/w half sbs and full sbs is not that of the camera. Usually videos converted are labelled half sbs due to the softwares capabilities and originals ripped full sbs. But there are softwares available for full sbs conversion too.

Half SBS is basically, TOTAL frame 1920x1080 merged to give 960 x 1080 per side
Full SBS is two images at 1920x1080 EACH merged to give 1920x1080 PER side (total 3840x1080)

Simpler words,

HALF SBS = 960x1080 PER EYE on 3d
FULL SBS = 1920x1080 PER EYE on 3d.

Some Half SBS movies are VERY good while some are not THAT good. It depends on movie to movie and conversion to conversion. One documentary i recommend highly is that of the airplanes called LEGENDS OF FLIGHT. It has some nice 3d effects. Another one would probably be IMAX : Sharks.

there is no hd tv which can play that res currently - i have bolt3d in full sbs and the tv does not play it it says un supported display format --so what does this mean

so how do i get full sbs movies to play which are so superior -- need help here then

Yes, 3DTV Play is the only way to output full HD 3D via HDMI 1.4 which is acceptable by all 3D TVs.

sorry guys u cant play full 3d sbs formats on any sort of hd tv unless u either have a 1.4 hdmi cable -- or u gota use a laptop or a pc and play the movie off that and connect the lcd to that --
of course its a different thing if u have a proper blu ray player which can out put via hdmi 1.4 ..

You're too hung up on 1080P. In reality, to qualify for 1080P all you need is 1080 pixel vertically. Horizontal resolutions does not matter. You would probably not be able to pick a half size SBS from a full size SBS anyway. But if you're really anal about it, then go get a BR player. They're not that expensive and you'll need to actually buy the 3D BR disc instead of relying on uncle torrence.


so there u have it folks - u cant play a full sbs movie via usb or hdd connected to your tv - u need a proper hdmi 1.4 cable and a blu ray player which supports this format - no wonder i could not play bolt via usb -- i need the physical disc for this .

Don't know about you, but all my 1080p 3D blurays are backed up as full copy 1080p SBS MKVs .... but I have the original BDs and was able to experiment alot, the demuxing is the tricky part (and I can see why scene rips don't go full 1080p) ..

It depends on the encoder and skill levels ... 1080p SBS is not hard to do, but it requires a TV that does 1080p 50Hz and HDMI equipment that handles the bandwidth ...

EXCELLENT INFO ---so its final - no current gen tv can play the full sbs 3d movie via external usb or any device for that matter --- though i am reading on it ---wonder if avatar on a proper blu ray will be full 1080p sbs ....cant say as i dont have it right now

but this much is clear -- a sample i saw of avatar inthe show room had amazing 3d effects while the one i downloaded was shit --- so i think either ppl mess around with the conversions --
animation is exccellent in 3d -- the depth - the screen shots etc

I bought a series 7 c7000 3d last year with mon vs alein bluray, 2 glasses and a bluray player for around 300,000/-. I have the following original 3d blurays
Mon vs alein, dispicable me, resident evil, open season, rio 3d and alice in wonderland.
Got almost all sbs, downloaded thor 3d sbs the 16 gb one recently but it does not have awsome 3d. Saw only first 10 min maybe latter it gets better.
Will buy transformers 3 3d when it comes out in nov / dec.

bhai i am talking about full sbs ---- no 3d tv to date can play them coz of the damn res its 3840 + like 1920-1080 * 2 - which is not possible for a 3d tv right now -- maybe later -- even if u manage to play it is throttled down to the seting of the tv / led etc .

though i am researching on this will keep u guys posted if i get any information .
