What is the minimum percentage required for getting admission in a good engineering faculty at NUST? I got 85% in matric and 78% in fsc from Karachi board. Is there any chance of getting admission if I perform well in the aptitude test?

Not to discourage you but getting into NUST isn't that easy. To put it in a nutshell, dabba k tayyari karo for the entrance test, your inter percentage does have some weight to the selection criteria but that won't come into play until you rank in the top 3000-4000 of the selection test, even after that they short list the candidates to 1500ish. As for your question of performing well in the test, that is relative to what you think is ''well'' and what NUST thinks is ''well''. If you have family in the Pak Navy then your chances of getting into NUST may be higher. Good luck for the test, also apply for NED and SSUET if you plan on doing engineering in Karachi, aik kai asrey mai nahi rehna.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already planned to applying for NUST, Ned and SSUET. Can you explain how someone in the navy might help me?

Guys try your best ... But kindly don't waste your money on test preparation centers ... Every thing is in your book ... Or u can just buy their solution book only .. Thats more than enough if you have studied in your collage Days..

Top faculties in NUST are mechanical and electrical. You can get in the EME with an aggregate of 74-75% and some chances of getting in NUST Islamabad (SEECS or SMME)
I completely agree with sufi test preparation institutions are a total waste of time. Self-study pays off. (75.6% aggregate) :v

Can you guys tell me how did you prepare for the test. Most of the students I know are confused because of this. Any books or suggestion on how to self study.

Maths: fsc books, the norm of imp chapters is

First year: 1 3 6 7 8 and 12

2nd year: 1 4 6 7

physics: fsc books, there is no definite norm but last chapters of both years are imp.
But there is a definite pattern in 60mcqs,more than half of em' are really easy, like a simple formula would do it,or even few among are simple learned facts etc (dimensions, questions regarding subatomic particle etc),for remaining mcqs u must know each and every formula in every form,on ur fingertips, also u are good at general concepts of things, logical thinking and thinking out of the box, questioning urself how the test setter may give question from a certain topic...

Chemistry

Easiest section, everything is from fsc chem, mostly 2nd year and are like booklines,no concepts, just things to remember here and there, maybe few reactions, few tests are given aswell in some mcqs then we are told to tell which compound is it..

English:

Has 5 catogories of quesions, will talk about it later

Just go through the FSc books thoroughly...mainly your concepts matter....with some rutta of-course. And practice a lot. There are numerous pages on facebook that can help you practice by posting MCQs.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
