Two problems,

Firstly, when I boot my PC, the GPU (XFX 6850 B.E) makes a hell lot of noise running at 100% fan speed till the early stages of booting. Is this normal or some driver stuff? - SOLVED

Secondly, when I boot, two options are present. One is Windows 7. The other is Windows 7 (Recovered). If I press RECOVERED, BSOD occours and then i'm asked to insert the windows disk while pc boots normally with simply the win7 option. Whats up with this? Is there any way to remove this option? - SOLVED

Lastly, when I play Crysis 2 (updated to 1.9 + texture pack + dx11 patch), it opens in a window. When i change it to full screen, it kind of reduces the screen size by an inch on all sides. Its as if theres a perpendicular inch removed from all sides of the screen. Mouse does not even go there. When i close it, its back to normal. Its a very strange issue. And wasn't happening before the patches, mind you.

My old GTS250 had this issue while logging in windows. GPU would go to 100% for a few seconds, like it throttles ... but then it would come back to its normal fan speed.
Another friend of mine has exactly same thing with his 5850.

Its just that when you log into windows, GPU Profile does not load. When it does (during the few seconds of logging in) it instantly gets down to its normal fan speed.
So, This is not a problem.

Start > Run > Type "msconfig" > Boot Tab > There should be TWO Boot options there. Delete one, and keep the one which works fine.
Be careful though, not to delete the Working one.

This doesn't seem like a Game problem, rather than LCD settings problem. But before that, check with other games if same problem occurs with them.

Also, go to your Catylst Control/Cataylst Center. There must be some settings there related to Scaling or Aspect Ratio, somewhere in Display Tab, showing a Moveable BAR from 0 to more than 0 (may be 15).
I am not an ATI user so i cant recall the EXACT settings.

Thanks a bunch mate !! Solved the first two issues.

As for the last one, this is the very problem. When shift to desktop to change the scaling, its back to normal. When i go back in game, its small -.-

if we are moving towards more and more popular trash across platforms that make billions for companies, I'm happy with all the barriers and exclusivity because at least that brings some pressure to create good stuff.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
