You are saying as if they have spread out teams which bust houses and sack people singing in the bathrooms at gun point to come and sing on the show.
nopes... but if you are wise enough to open google.com then you would realize that there exists a term like "paid actors"... that is just the tip of the iceberg... do you know that all these people are interviewed first by the directors and other staff? they select the "good" ones and the "funny" ones out of the thousands that come and then send them in to the main judges and out of them only a select few are shown on tv... they can pretty much cut off the "bad" singers very easily but then how will YOU be entertained by "controversy"... as bad as simon cowell was, no one watched american idol for anyone other than him and as soon as he left, their rating plummeted

^Paid or whatever.... but he must have willingly signed some paper. No one forced him, it was on his discretion. Be it out of necessity or whatever but his will was involved.

Man PG is becoming the den of conspiracy theorists.

this marasee is not our heritage keeper and if you think he is then learn some stuff about "decency".I don't want indian-style heritage... i don't want "idol" as a term in our shows and yes that is shirk... and yes, religion should rule our lives rather than you avoiding it thinking that you still have time for becoming a better muslim. Read quran... you are sent on this world to pray to Allah... nothing more and nothing less
what?

I am not arguing the concept of why you were sent on earth or meaning of life itself...

"The word mirasi is derived from the
Arabic word miras, which means inheritance or sometimes heritage"

the concept that mirasi is a derogatory term is false. They are our tradition keepers whether you like it or not. You saying " I dont want indian-style heritage" is not going to change our heritage. Unless you somehow invent time-travel and kill everyone of that period, it is a part of this land and it wont go away. I would highly urge you to read a bit of work of sufis. A big chunk of our language, literature, Islamic theology and manners are derived from there. So best way to avoid all of this is to move to some other location

Using the word "IDOL" doesnt make it shirk. Intentions are counted in ISLAM, actions dont have weight to them.
Do they literally mean that go and pray to the " IDOL"? NO they dont, then I am afraid it is not shirk.

this guy is well known for and "seen" urinating as a drunk in public... i have seen him in 1994 parked outside my school doing stuff that i just cannot say out loud here(his concert be damned... he was kicked from the concert after that)... this pathetic attitude of his on this show also shows what line he is still on has no shred of humanity and is pathetically a stupid person destroying his image like that...
IT doesn't matter, what you SAW him do..you are not his god, you are no one to judge... If he is acting like a jerk, you should complain to geo.tv, passing a judgement on someone isnt going to help anyone...instead calling him a mirasi or any other term and making a generalization makes you look very narrow minded...

if you do not agree with me then atleast stay in your limits... if you are calling what i said as idiotic then i can say much more than that to you...
I apologize if the term "idiotic" seemed harsh to you.

i.. have a read to it again so people do not call vulgar and indecent marasees as our "heritage".
Read above ^ where I said that it is a part of our heritage, either we can accept it and celebrate it or we can do the opposite, but it wont change the past.

. people call mullahs as narrow minded and they get stereotyped but what about the "liberals" who keep religion locked away.. I am not a mullah but i hate vulgar and indecent people like him and many other front runners in our society(if i was a mullah then i would not have been hating and ranting like this on an online forum as hatred is a sin). In a society this corrupt, no good and nice people are considered "heritage" material.
I never called you a mullah. nor did I call you a liberal.

I am not ranting, I just disagree with your opinion regarding our traditional values and culture. Every nation in the world celebrates it's diverse and colorful traditions and I believe that we should too.

On the point of judges :

I wonder if people like Kurt Cobain (if he was alive), Chester, etc went on this show and Bushra ansari going like " app ka sur nahi hai...app raag sahi nahi kar pa rahey...."
ali azmet going like " meri taraf se tu na samjheen"

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT GUY THINKING?

The contestant I mean, coming up to a highly competitive singing competition with vocals like that? I say he deserved it. That was a mockery of the show itself.
Though I don't support it but still man, the earlier you realize the gap between your capabilities and dreams the better it is for you.
As hasanJ said rightly..."Dilazaari"
ek tareeka hota hai mana karney ka...kisi ki physical, social, etc ka mazaq urana is not right.

there is a line between saying sorry you are not right for this and doing batamezi

Paid actor or real applicant being bullied for ratings or what ever, this shouldn't have been aired. Its just sad either way. Btw the selection of judges is based on how much rating they would get. None these(nor in any other such programs) is a good musician(although with a few exceptions none of the mainstream musician is good). A lot of other people, some of them a lot better than these, simply aren't willing to do this kind of drama.

Why is everyone taking this so seriously? The auditions of Pakistan/Indian/American idol are always designed as 'entertainment' rather than an actual portrayal of what happens in a real singing competition. Most probably it wasn't even the 'contestant's' real voice. Both him and Ali Azmat were (over) acting.

It is like getting worked up over Vince Mcmahon behaving rudely with a wrestler in WWE. This stuff is not supposed to be taken seriously.

Is he trying to imitate Simon? Simon's strength is his wit. He commands respect. Ali Azmat is a dumb *uck.

But the contestant is also a retard. We see people like these on American Idol and The X Factor etc too but come on. You KNOW you can't win a singing competition with a squeaky voice like that. Why bother? What did he expect?

I'm pretty sure that guy expected some level of ridicule and mockery given his voice. The problem I have with this is that the way Ali Azmat made fun of him was just so retarded, No class, No wit, No intelligence just straight up childishness. TBH he embarrassed himself alot more than he did the kid. lol

Condescending attitude. The very reason why most of the people in Pakistan suffer from low self esteem and insecurities. Its always reinforced dreams mean nothing. Such tv shows expose the "celebrities" who are looked upon as role models by their fans. Unfortunately, the very format of such shows encourage even the more civil judges to act like arrogant, know-it-all gods of music. I have had huge respect for the guy ali azmat because of his singing but after watching this I kind of putting hold on that.
Why is your english so damn difficult to read grammatically... for no reason at all...

Btw those saying his voice is not for singing; I assure you with training that voice can be made to sound great in its own way. However it is clear he never trained his voice.

i think Pakistan Idol is going great so far

Judges are talented and very well experienced

dont blame the poor contestants they have not yet emerged to the reality of singing, good voice and bad voice

Pakistan Idol a big step towards entertainment
