I'm not saying majority support or oppose, i'm saying if the decision is already made there is no point in supporting or opposing before the change, this thread should be locked, and everyone should be moved on with the change.

The decision hasn't been made, that's the point. We could've just rolled out the changes and then made an announcement instead. That didn't happen. We're looking at what the majority thinks, and so far, they're in agreement that this change is for the better. That said, given the total number of active members on PG, we've received very little feedback thus far.

Your opinion is valid from your own individual point of view. I'm not going to argue against it, but unfortunately, it's hard to please everyone.

we are very different from the rest of the world, rest of the world is responsible and make no fuss in anything and respect each others views, we are Pakistanis, no offense to anyone specific but we tend to do these things. you can be all negative to it but the reality is we are different than others in this way.

I'm afraid you're wrong on that one. Gaming communities can become really toxic really fast no matter what part of the world the members are from. PG isn't the only site where PC gamers and console gamers argue against one another. it happens all over the internet and believe it or not compared to some other sites Pakgamers is still relatively mild in terms of toxicity and hatred. If you actually think gamers from different parts of the world respect eash others' views and make no fuss then I'm afraid you don't know anything. lol

After reading all above posts that have been posted. i think you guys have already made the decision to make the change, in that case there was no point of this thread, it should have been just the announcement and the we would have seen the response. but i would still like to weigh in my opinion (Ok not that it matter alot, but just to let you guys know, that i m web-developer since about 3 years now, and )

You know you just contradicted yourself. The reason why we all are responding and communicating with you is because we care about what users (you included) think. We wanted to test the water with the announcement, and a vast majority of the crowd is happy with it.

According to my little knowledge on forums, we are here for productive discussions by the people who have common interest, i have seen no forum who promotes PC gamers to buy consoles and get in to the discussion where you are not needed, its users choice to buy whatever they want and then find ppl of common interest on the forums.

Lets take me as an example(its just my experience, anyone can have other taste and requirements, i'm just explaining me on this forum, why i m here.), i'm a PC gamer, i only like to play games on my PC, OK now there are many reasons why i m not console gamer, don't want to explain those here, many can say other things about me like i m fanboy or whatever, but at the end its my decision, what i want to be, i don't want anyone encouraging me to anything else. what i like about this forum is, whatever i like when i come to this forum i can find that easily in my a specific section and some more which is related to ppl like me, common interests, we can discuss and share thoughts i don't want someone seeing posting our version is better than this and you should try it on ps3, and believe me there will be tons of posts like this on this new change.

1. No one is going to force anyone(or you) to buy/play a certain platform. How can anyone force you so easily?
2. specific/exclusive topics you will still have TAGs as I have mentioned for the 1000th time.
3. PakGAMERS..not PakPC or PakPS3 or PakXBOX...we take a game and we will discuss it, irrespective of platform. If a PC guy wants to state that it has better X than on consoles, that shouldn't bug anyone, it is a fact. If console gamers claim it has better Y than it shouldnt bother anyone, again it is a fact. Mods are more than capable of recognising trolling and spam.
People should not take these things personally. PC, MS , Sony are just companies man, you dont need to defend or attack anyone. One should have more self esteem.

From another prospective, when i come to gaming central i don't want to filter my taste-like threads, UI should be user-friendly not, adding extra steps to get what we want. and from technical prospective, we should not put extra search query loads on the server when we don't have to, search query always put the maximum loads on the server coz it has to get related results from all the possible matches, means extra work for server to do. p.s once again, our search feature, not desirable.

If we hadnt got an all OK from technical side of things, we wouldn't be pursuing it. It is something which you guys shouldn't worry about, I am sure PG servers are more than capable of handling this.:guitar:

Do you know why we are different than others? because of this sorta self-destructive attitude. You have vastly under estimated us at PakGamers.

I think the ddos protecting check won't allow tapatalk to access, this might be temporary.

Tapatalk is very easy and productive . Feeling complicated using PG on browser . Hope it will be up again
