Over the years WOW has made a major mark in the history of PC gaming and MMORPGs. Though the success is great but there is a group of people (including people who play the game themselves) who believe that the game can lead up to addiction. Because of this most people often avoid the experience offered by WOW altogether.

The question arises that whether it depends on the gamer himself to control himself and only take WOW as a game or universe offered by WOW is too much to handle for anyone.

My thoughts:
I personally believe because there are so many things to do in WOW like professions, leveling up, instance, raids, exploring, quests, etc. Most of the games try to do all things simultaneously which leads to makes the game time consuming. I think its up to the gamer himself to set up boundaries between different things and do one thing at a time.

obviously it depends on the gamer himself, afterall WoW is just a "thing" , it's not a mind controlling device. If a person is dumb enough to spend the majority of his day doing the same thing, its his fault.

Well i won't lie here:
WoW is addictive, VERY addictive!
But it all depends on the gamer himself. Desolator pointed out a very good reason, some people just want to do everything at the same time!
Try doing that in RL and you're pretty much screwed.
I tired that once, for about a week i played 4 hours a day (which was pretty stupid of me) then i realised if i spred out the stuff i can do all that and have a life at he same time XD
BUT as some people say wow is not the only addictive game, take DoTA for example, one of my friend plays hours on end (4+ hours) once he even did an all-nighter when his parents were away!
So yea it pretty much depends on the gamer

^ Quite true. That is where longitivity of the game comes in. The best thing about WOW is that its not monotonous at all and you won't get bored even after playing 3-4 hours.

i think u lose most of ur will power in the first week ,,, then it takes u by surprise :),, but i got over it like after 2 years :p

i used to play outside also but ,majority of my time was consumed on the pc...... had no time left to study :p

oh n setting boundaries before starting is better cuz once u get addicted then it really hard/

My answer as a WOW player is simple WoW is addictive, VERY addictive but it is on to gamer that how he takes it.There are more better games than wow like Starcraft, Warcraft III etc etc but it all about gamer. And i also agree that when a WOW player try to do all things at a time he will lose his time in it.Take it as a game not as drug and just have fun.

Right behind you.......
Its the worst drug that will ever exist. In addition to that its also very very time consuming.

So i think that one will have to set up the boundaries himself.
That will of course be very difficult and will take some time but that is what is must.

Best way to do that is just stop yourself from paying teh game at least 40% of the time when you just want to play it.

well it can be sure addictive as hell but still alot of people here can manage to stay away from it when it gets too obsessive....:wink2: but then again mostly what ive heard about the WOW gamers around the world it is surely a drug

WoW and CS both have done their fair share of ruining peoples lives ... or lack thereof.

The game is fine ... its the GAMERS who are at fault playing all the time and forgetting a real life.

I won't say WoW is a drug . Rather , gamers are the ones entirely responsible . People die playing this game . So , yes , it is entirely upto gamers .

WoW is simply wow...i have started this game few days back on MBL server. I was never a fan of RPG but let me tell you MMORPG and WoW is an addiction.

The stiff pain in my back has reached a new height of irritation, and I almost think that if I moved too quickly I'd twist a vertebrate. My hands and neck are cramped, my mouth is dry and my eyes water as they are glued to my monitor; they flick for a moment to the clock which defiantly displays 5:53am. A voice in the back of my head is yelling something about needing food and sleep. I've ignored it for so long. But perhaps now I should listen. And then.

CRUNCH! 'Well done, you have reached Level 22'. Woooo yea! What new spells are in stall for me now baby? What new talents can I learn? What new armour will I find? Welcome to the World of Warcraft ladies and gents;

I suggest for those who havnt played this game should at least try and see for yourself. I was also shocked and surprised that even Pakistan can have a private server of WoW for details check http://games.dsl.net.pk/

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.

did you try setting up Google Payments? For UBL you may have to get it enabled for internet transactions, Naya should work without it!

I tried both NayaPay, and UBL, but I keep getting "correct country selected..." error. I already have PK set there 🤦‍♂️

Did y'all see the new Assassin's Creed trailer? They finally made a AC set in Japan & then they put a negro as the male protagonist. Ubisoft is taking cues from Disney, and it isn't gonna end well for them, just like Disney. Go woke, go broke!
