Fully agreed on both.

That one optional boss was a typical Soulsborne "hit and run" borefest.
yeah, the only boss in the game I found to be annoying.

On a final note, beat the final boss too.

That was an amazing fight too but i still feel
Spoiler: show
Owl Father
is the best of the game.

Yeah its fantastic. What I really liked was that he actually has the same movesets as us, including the Mikiri counter, and then some. Really felt like you're fighting
Spoiler: show
your master.

CerebralTiger I don't expect DMC5 fans to shy away from button mashing. Probably realised it won't work where you left playing it. But its easier to blame lack of interest :hah:

This is what I call boring button mashing:

Inb4 "didn't play it much"

This is on the normal difficulty. You can't play it like that in Hell and Hell mode :hah:

Inb4 "didn't play it much"
Much? I didn't play it at all since the last mini-boss until I saw that Soulsborne remark from you :hah:

It's a repetitive borefest. Take this boss fight against Genichiro, for instance. It's an extremely monotonous game of spamming block and attacking during his vulnerable frames. The timing for performing a mikiri counter is extremely lenient to the point where I consider it broken. A perilous attack should, you know, feel perilous. Instead, it's nothing more than a cue to land a free hit lol. The lightning reversal, despite having extremely lenient timing, is entirely unnecessary and useless, as it's not safe. Instead, Genichiro's lightning strikes can just as easily be evaded.

Based on my experience so far, after Ashina Elite and Blazing Bull, Genichiro is the easiest and most boring boss in the game lol.

I can. But I cant suffer the monotous and boring gameplay to unlock it that superficial difficulty.

I wish I could post some blast from the past moments. This forum probably hasn't seen a bigger Bayonetta and DMC hater than you :hah:

So what are you saying? Sekiro is a button masher but DMC5 is not?
I'm saying that at its highest difficulty setting, DMC5 can only be button-mashed when playing as V, because his combat style is masher-friendly, much like how Sekiro is masher-friendly with its block/deflect mechanic.

What percentage of people played DMC5 at this said highest difficulty setting? Barely 5%.

On the other hand, Sekiro stirred up a debate about easy modes and accessibility options and what not. Pretty clear to me which of the two is a masher-friendly game.

Where did you get that 5% figure from? If by "played", you mean "finished", then only 0.5% have beaten the game on Hell and Hell difficulty on PS4 based on trophy data. It's probably a similar ratio on other platforms.

An even lesser percentage of people have 100%'ed the game on PS4 (0.2%). Meanwhile, 4.2% have done the same in Sekiro. All hail PowerPyx :hah:

On the other hand, Sekiro stirred up a debate about easy modes and accessibility options and what not.
It's the most accessible From Software game according to a UX consultant.

Sekiro: Accessibility in Games is About Far More than 'Difficulty'

And accessibility – my focus as a consultant on games, working with AAA developers like Guerrilla to Indies like Gambrinous – is an area of game design that’s often deeply misunderstood; it’s about barriers, not difficulty.
Pretty much all of the QoL improvements and existing settings lower the ‘difficulty’ for me, making Sekiro both more accessible and approachable (yes, they’re different, too). I could say the same thing about how much more forgiving the game design in Sekiro is, from timing to controls and the multiple possible play styles (stealth, charging, finesse, parrying, bashing). The fact that if I’m early for a parry most of the time that becomes a block is huge for me because I’m often way too early.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
