Digital deluxe edition *facepalm*. Days Gone reviewed poorly, so decided to spend that money on this instead. Turned out, this reviewed about the same lol.
Days Gone would have been a much better purchase lol.

Genuinely Days Gone got robbed by critics. It's one of those classic "FFXIII" examples of a game which opens up the more you play it, but understandable that not everyone has that kind of patience.

Rage 2 was definitely better promoted than Rage 1. I remember when Rage 1 came out no one even knew about it.
But Rage 2 is all the hype.

I haven't played Rage 2 yet. Will try to get my hands on it as soon as possible since people are saying its really good.

Yeah I regret it honestly. Days Gone's main issue seem to have more to do with its glitches
But...

Regardless, glitches aren't the only reason for mediocre reviews.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Days Gone mediocre world and bland mission design (a running theme across the reviews) seems bargain bin at best as well. Rage 2 at the very least, has sublime core combat in its genre. Days Gone doesn't even have that going for itself.

lol an honest error
Nah man, just another example of the length you'll go to in effort to keep the hate train going

You know .. the way the game ends .. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people didn't realize the game had actually ended already lol

I know you're probably never gonna play it, so this might fall on deaf ears :p

but ...

- 90% of the game's technical issues have been resolved with the patches (The game is on 1.08 right now, reviewers played 1.02)
- The first zone of the game is really shoddy and the game has a very bland opening, but after you exit the first zone and go south, the game really opens up with new areas, new characters and a lot more interesting story quests)
- Days Gone doesn't have the twitch shooting of a Rage 2, but coming across a zombie horde of 300+ enemies is a really incredible and thrilling game play scenario. And it has around 35 or so hordes dotted on the map which you may come across while doing another story quest randomly).

On topic.

Digital Foundry videos for Rage 2 Consoles and PC.

Consoles:
PS4 runs at 1080p/30. Xbox One runs at 900p/30.
Pro and XBX both run at 1080p/60 FPS with X running a little bit more smoother, but both run great.

Rage 2 PC video:

Xbox X (and PS4 Pro) settings the game runs at equivalent to PC.

My PC played the game at slightly higher than Xbox X equivalent settings apparently :p

Not bad for a 1060 Max Q.

But how would me 'lying' about finishing the game impact such make believe efforts? :hah:

I could just as well have said I'm half way through and continued my 'hate train' lol.

That wouldn't have been a lie (though technically you weren't even half way through lol). But you didn't say that. And since you chose to lie about it and are now covering it up as a "mistake", it proves beyond any doubt that your efforts are not "make believe" lol

Ek toh aap ne Days Gone zaroor lana tha iss thread me :p

I think as a fan of games like Dead Rising you might've been able to extract some fun out of this but nothing about the points you mentioned make it sound any less generic or repetitive than it already seems. I personally believe a game like this could benefit from some co-op mode to overshadow its blandness. Doesn't help that even the critical path is around 30 hrs.

What I mean to ask is, how does being half way through make it any less of a "hate train"? I'm still playing the game, so my opinion on the game doesn't get invalidated either way. What do I hope to achieve by lying? lol

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
