Case and point, you have called good old mua a Sony Pony on many-a-occasion. Yet I don't have PS+ either. I just get all my games from a retail store or digitally via sales.

You're a Sony Pony for various other reasons (defending Plus here being one of them). This just shows how Plus isn't really the best value proposition for most people. And you don't have to waste money first to realize that lol (you and I know this first hand )

Also worth noting there would be a subset (however small) of people who have multiple PS4's in a household, or upgraded to Pro's, who still have a singular PS+ account, and people also share accounts to play games (you and I know this first hand )

The only thing it means is that you're clutching for straws here

First off, multiple PS+ accounts on a single console will be wasteful cause you can share as a parent/child account case on the same console anyway. Second, what percentage of PC's or people who casually play something on their PCs have Steam installed ? It's probably a lot less than 36%

Third, and going to an earlier point of how much I disagree with the PS+ = Digital game sales, this is from the PS4 100m topic.

This shows us that regardless of PS+, digital/online is the highest selling segment of PS sales, also network services like PS+ are a big chunk of Sony's PS family portfolio.

So regardless of the fake-concern, it seems like it's doing A-OK

Let's fix these numbers, shall we. Ps plus subscriptions are regularly available for $40 on psn (not even talking about external offers). I have never paid over $40 for it, and I've been subscribed since the ps3 days. I've also been sharing my account and effectively splitting the cost of ps plus in half, bringing the price down to $20.

$20 * 7 (the number of years you used to come up with that hilarious total lol) = $140.

So, basically, by the end of this generation, I'd have spent $140 and gained access to 7 (# of years) * 12 (# of months) * 2 (number of free games offered each month on ps plus) = 168

Dollar to game ratio: 140/168 = 0.83, so even if the games offered in some months are mediocre, I can't complain because I pay less than $1 for each.

Damn, such an amazing deal. Keep up the good work, Sony!

You haven't been paying attention then. Scam is paying for online gaming whether it's your "$20" or the official $60. The official price of the yearly subscription for the 36.2 mil people isnt $20.
